Default Beware of Danny Gold Ebay ID: carbonmc12c

I will try to make this brief. This buyer purchased an Andrew Wiggins National Treasures RC Auto Patch /99, ebay # 292128400807. The card has an ink spot on the right side. He was aware of this and we talked about through eBay messages before item was purchased. Here is a close up picture of the ink before card was shipped..

Upon reciept, he opened a paypal dispute saying the item was damaged. I thought it was odd he went straight to paypal and did not open an eBay return. We asked him what the damage was through both paypal/eBay and he did not respond. He escalated his paypal claim, and we accepted the return. Received the item back today and it looks as if he tried to remove the ink somehow. He tore off and damaged the surface. He then took a ball point pen and re-did the ink over the damaged surface. This is what it looks like now.

I'm currently in the process with paypal reviewing the case. I just wanted to give everyone a heads up as he has a lot of high end items for sale and he could have altered those cards as well.

I think you should win this case. Or I would hope you win this case.

You can clearly tell the difference in both photos and that the issue is not the same. I really hope justice is served here.

When buyers lose cases like this as a result of obvious scams, Ebay should allow negative feedback to protect other sellers. This guy has like 1500+ positive feedback with zero negs. I'd sell to him not knowing any better.

I think there is a reason why he filed the claim through PayPal and not eBay. I contacted eBay as well with info about his past IDs. Hopefully they do something.

Yeah I agree with you. Hopefully Paypal backs you and common sense should be on your side. I hope Ebay does something based on your evidence, but they suck at protecting their sellers.

His paypal and ebay accounts should be terminated on the spot with all of these accounts.

Wow, what a piece of work. I sent him an ebay message about a card I'm interested in that he has, but I was worried about his 19 ebay user name changes...

It's 1 account he just keeps changing his name. If you have him blocked the name changes update themselves in your list.

I understand that but ebay could put an end to all of them.

Oh I agree. I was just clarifying so people aren't trying to put 15 names on their blocked list.

Mother of God. That is something else, OP. Best of luck with the resolution.

A new low for Danny Gold, which is really saying something.

Just a follow up to this.. We lost the paypal case. We then went into an appeal and lost that also. We did everything PayPal requested.. On two separate occasions, representatives on their merchant team told me I had nothing to worry about and would receive my money back. Provided photos, provided letters from "professionals" in the field, faxed info they requested. They stated "Unfortunately, we had to deny this appeal because the information supplied is insufficient to appeal this resolution." It may go into yet another appeal, but not holding my breath on winning that.

Do yourself a favor and block this guy.

For that kind of money, is it possible to take the person to small claims court?

Unbelievable. This would seem as clear cut a case as you could possibly have, but I guess not. Really sorry to hear this.
