Meant riding in an ATV or slept with someone's wife or hooker. Or is he the sex toy culprit.

Has nothing to do with that. Collins even joked about it yesterday.

Not sure how true this is:

Harvey was hung over for a recent start. Pattern of behavior let to his suspension

They're in no position to be suspending anybody with all the injuries they've had so it has to be.

Harvey's career is certainly on a trip down the toilet. He's already 28 and hasn't really proven much. He was lights out before his injuries. I can totally see him playing in a different uniform next year. I bet the Mets regret not moving him when they had the chance.

When could've they moved him though? 2013 he's their top young player, 2014 TJ, 2015 they're in the World Series, 2016 he's hurt again, and now we're here.

When his stock was high was when they needed him most. Other than that he's been injured or plain stuck, so his stock was way down.

Mets had no window, outside of 2015 when they were making their WS run (before they hit their stride and the offense sucked). A lot was tossed around in the Mets thread but ultimately, Mets made a good decision (at the time) to keep the staff together and get close to the ring. Harvey did throw two very solid WS games (and one almost awesome one).

He spurned the Mets on a deal long-term, he an Boras will get what they get. I've had enough of him already.

Man, in 2013, he was the king of NYC. It might've been that the rest of our rotation was crap, but Harvey Day was must watch TV.

I'll never forget this game

At first I didn't care about his off field drama, but now that he's hittable and that douchbag personanility is rubbing off on Syndergaard, I think it's time for him to go. Syndergaard and deGrom are the actual future of this franchise and we can't afford to have them turning into Harvey Dent

They were talking about this during the Yankees-Cubs game last night. They are saying he is going to get the union involved to protest the suspension because it was for not showing up to the ballpark and supposedly he claims, he informed someone in the organization about it beforehand and they approved.

Maybe next time, don't tell the hot dog vender and think it's OK.

I wonder if he has contacted Tom Brady yet about proper cell phone destruction protocols?

Great line to end a NY Post article about the situation:

They’ve chosen civil war with a player they once couldn’t live without. And it’s hard to find fault with it because the player has spent so much of the past few years trying to light his reputation on fire, when his own body wasn’t doing the same to his career.

But he was scheduled to pitch on one of the days was one of the days he was suspended. And it's still 3 days unpaid.

But don't believe for a second that the money or length of suspension was as noteworthy as the Mets putting their foot down and serving warning that, hey Matt, you aren't good enough to get away with being a douchebag anymore.

Career record 31-30. Best single season win total was 13. If he played anywhere else, this would be a non-story. They gave him a nickname wayyyyy too fast.
