I don't know if true, but I've heard:
The players obscured the team name so they could pocket the fee paid by Topps. Had the team name/logo appeared they might have forfeited their payment.

I agree on condition! Looks like only 4 cards have graded higher than this (67 total graded MINT), so, considering myself lucky to have picked up for less than current market value.

Looks like what you mentioned appears to be accurate (team name / logo), as even PSA mentions the same thing on their website -
