I know it's been mentioned at least once, but The Wailing was the best movie I saw in any genre in 2017.

Anyone got any recommendations for Christmas-themed horror?

Gremlins, Black Christmas are on the list.

This sets going to be 35 bucks so anyone sitting on the old set cash out now. The new one seems to have every feature of the old set minus the metal tin and a patch. Glad I waited. Now can we pretty please have a Texas chainsaw massacre set?
Collectors will always pay more for the "out of print" set.

Yes and no, it’ll carry a premium but the new set is 32 bucks via amazon. It’s 95% of the same content, the big reason the oop set was so high it was the only way to get 5-8 on blu Ray. With all that gone, it’ll be interesting to see where it lands. Hell some anime sets get rereleased, they screw it up so bad the original set goes up further lol.

Saw this in Red Box, remember seeing the cover posted here so rented it last night. It was a nice surprise. Thanks for the recommendation.

"Silent Night" (2012 movie) is pretty awesome. Just about everything you could ask for in a modern slasher flick and 100% Christmas-themed.

I give it 7.5/10 as a general slasher film.
I give it 9.5/10 as a holiday horror film.

Watched a few movies over the weekend. The Creep and The Creep 2 (both on Netflix) were both different and very fun. I finally decided to give them a chance when I found out that Pete from The League played the main guy. Definitely not for everyone as it's filmed in the same style of found footage movies and isn't necessarily exciting (more psychological) but interesting none the less.

I also watched Belko Experiment last night. It wasn't bad but the ending was very unsatisfying IMO.

Belko Experiment actually piqued my interest a bit with the ending haha.

Just watched The Babysitter and it was great! Its way more funny than scary.
The jock bad guy is absolutely hilarious, he's immediately one of my all time favorite villain characters.
6/10 for horror 9.5/10 for comedy

If you liked that movie look for Todd and the Book of Pure Evil. It was a Canadian TV show that only lasted a couple seasons I think but it was great! It had horror elements (mostly monkey paw related) but it was hilarious too and kind of similar in humor to The Babysitter.

The Wailing is such a good horror movie! I bought it back in september 2016 on amazon (didn't think netflix or prime would ever get it for free )
Of course subtitles are abundant but its very much worth having to put up with them. America just doesn't make movies like this.

And yes... while IT was great, it was definitely not very scary.

I just saw Creep 2 pop up on Netflix, I'm pumped! I loved the first and totally forgot they were making another.

Just watched creep last night on Netflix. I thought the movie was horrible. Don't think I'll be watching creep 2.

Hellraiser Judgement, which has been completed for over a year, has a blu Ray release date of february 13th. To meet contractual obligations it’s also having a single screening at a small cinema in California. So I’ll get to see this piece of crap finally lol.

Lol, it's certainly a unique movie. It's not for everyone.

the second one is better. the first one is boring and the only exciting part is the axe to the head scene. in the second one he's just full on serial killer mode and shows just how f'd up he really is. it's more of a true horror movie
