Has anyone thought that people could just happen upon the cooler and steal your stuff?

Is it just nature, as in no people around there?

Yea, I was wondering the same thing too.

Anyway, hopefully you find it. Should be cool seeing the pictures.

Payload found, my friends, and preliminary review of the pictures have left me speechless. I will post them up tomorrow. Time to make the 5 hour trek back home!

Pictures came out amazing, and video is pretty good. I estimate, based on how much Earth we got in the best shots, that it was between 80 and 90,000 feet.

Definitely going to try and get some sleep. Made it home safely, and can barely keep my eyes open.

I believe they are really large sod farms...my dad thought they were pot farms.

And to give you an idea of the flight path. The balloon started in the bottom right (Lemoore), and ended at the red pin.

And a short video of the launch:

I threw a time lapse video together using all 2300 photos, but YouTube won't let me make it available to mobile because Daft Punk and Elton John both perform on the video.

I will go through the 118 or so money shots and post a few more a little later tonight.

Looking forward to seeing them. The first picture was awesome. As an aside, I can only think that Felix Baumgartner skydove from a higher altitude...crazy stuff!

Thanks for the view and comment! We are thinking that for the next trip, we dress a mouse up in a spacesuit, install a steering wheel in the payload, and have him steer the "ship" back to safety.
