Thumbs up Your team needs a blast from the past... who do you got?

Alright, I thought this might be kind of fun. If you could pick a player from your team's past that could be brought back to help your team today, who do you bring back? Remember, this isn't just taking the greatest player who ever played for your team, it is about improving your team.

For example, as a Packers fan, some might say the greatest Packer is Brett Favre or Bart Starr, but with Rodgers at the helm, it doesn't make sense to bring one of those guys back.

I want to hear who you would bring back and how they would help your team.

I think as a Packers fan, I would bring back Ray Nitschke. The Packers lack that mean edge that Nitschke embraced and could use some additional help at middle linebacker next to Hawk. Matthews, Hawk, Nitschke, and Perry at LB would be wicked awesome.

Waiting for the other Packer fan to name the other player who would be another toss up here and very close second IMO (hint: he is also on defense and straight DOMINATED).

Who do you got for your team?

Bruce Smith paired with Mario Williams would be epic

and the tandem of Nate Clements and Antoine Winfield would be good right now

I thought about it. Before Mendenhall, I'd want Smith. But, he has been looking promising.

Easily Jim Kelly. He could have a field day with the pieces on offense.

Easily Brian Brohm. We need him back badly.

But seriously, probably Reggie White, Ray Nitschke, or Ahman Green in his prime.

As a Cowboys fan.......give me Darren Woodson (Safety) or Larry Allen (O-line).

After these two, I'm taking:

3. Mark Stepnoski at Center and moving Fredrick over to Guard.
4. Nate Newton
5. Deion Sanders
6. George Teague
7. Emmitt Smith
8. Roger Staubach (omg, if we had a "clutch" qb...)

As a Chiefs fan I choose Derrick Thomas. Their defense is pretty good this year, put him in there and they are an elite defense. The closest to Lawrence Taylor you're gonna get.

because of the injuries/experience in the O-Line of the Steelers I would take Dermontti Dawson or Mike Webster.

Spurgeon Wynn...oh wait

In all honesty, you can never go against the QB that once held most of the records, Mr. Fran Tarkenton. The guy was amazing. He made plays happen all while being undersized at the position for the era. He never could win the big game, but imaging Tarkenton and Adrian Peterson on the same team. That'd be crazy!

Lawrence Taylor, Harry Carson, Carl Banks, Pepper Johnson, heck I'd take Steve DeOssie, Jessie Armstead, Mike Barrow maybe even Mike Croel at this point. We need linebackers BAD
