Default Select Hockey

Just saw an ad for Select Hockey supposedly coming out in November. Might not be too bad.

Any link to it? Not a fan of panini bringing the insert and #'d based products like prizm and select to hockey. Would rather see a upped pinnacle or like a luxury suite instead.

Hope it's better than Certified!

Panini products lack credibility for me in the Hockey market. The wax drops 50% and their singles do not sell. Learned that lesson their first year. Wont be back.

ummm. Prime?

Sold out before release and just wait and see what the wax prices do in the next two months.

Looking for Andre Dawson Serial numbered cards that are his jersey number - either #8 or #10. So looking for cards like 8/8 or 08/99 or 10/250.

And as a whole the singles sell for peanuts with the very odd exception.

yeah goodluck go even is hard on a decent case even in Prime... thats what sadly is why UD has always and will have better sell value on secondhand markets etc.... ITG is no way better.

Singles from Prime do not carry value compared to UD singles. They simply do not. From a wax standpoint you simply name the one exception ignore the rules.

Classics Signatures, Contenders, Limited, Certified, Elite, PINNACLE, Rookie Anthology. Brutal stuff,

LOL exactly. Whenever I see Classic Signatures or Certified, I cringe!

NHL should go back to limiting the amount of releases an individual company can release in a given year. I have no interest in watching 10 barf-galleries of each and every 20 product releases this year.

Hockey was a good market to turn profit prior to Panini's destruction of the marketplace.

I love the CAPS on Pinnacle. No way for you to know it, but I'm pretty sure I've opened more Pinnacle Hockey than anyone (no exaggeration). If you're going to list dog products, not sure how you missed Donruss. (I've also probably done more of that than anyone). Obviously I'm buying at closeout prices where it makes sense.

I understand what you are saying, but in comparison to basketball and football, Panini's Hockey products released in the last 12 months (going back to prime last year) have held up incredibly well. Other than set building products (like OPC), there is no product in any sport that is a guaranteed money maker in large quantity. However, this year's and last year's prime (if bought at factory cost) will have an incredibly high ROI in comparison to just about everything else.

I think this year's prime will be at $250 within 3 months, maybe sooner.
