Default January Pickups

So I've enjoyed the previous monthly pickup threads, as they've given me ideas for stuff to grab for out PC. Figured I'd start one for January, please add anything you picked up that you want to share.

These all came from other members, or eBay. Waiting on a few things that were purchased in January to arrive, but I'll add those later.

Picked up a ton of GOT/Star Wars this month, these are the highlights.

Game of Thrones

Natalie Dormer Auto
Tom Wlaschiha/Maisie Williams Dual Auto (9 Case Incentive)
Michiel Huisman Auto (6 Case Incentive)

Outside of the Baelish/Sansa incentive, this dual was the card I most desired to have from GOT...now just need to wait for another Baelish/Sansa to pop up, to try to pair with this one.

I think the Huisman will probably be available, as I think we're going to concentrate on Full Bleed auto's for the most part.

Star Wars

Jeremy Bulloch Auto /75
Joonas Suotamo Auto /99
Donnie Yen Auto
John Boyega Auto /99

Really wanted to add some main characters to our small Star Wars collection...which ultimately has me looking to get some of the even bigger characters now. I think Carrie is our biggest realistic want at the moment, but gotta find the right one, for the right price.

I'll update with the other stuff as it arrives. Feel free to post your January pickups!

I had my busiest month in a while here are my favourites from the month:

4 Taika Waiti as Korg autographs

Family Guy Season 2 Nar sketch (I love it but unsure where it fits in my family guy collection but can always use it to trade against others)

Family Guy Seasons 3,4 & 5 Ken Hayashi Sketch (my favourite family guy scene)

Great pickups for both of you! I'm hoping to pickup a Taika auto. And love that Hayashi sketch.

So one of the other packages I was waiting for came in. Definitely excited for these...one touches cause awful scans though.

So the bordered one is probably gonna be available...but in no rush to move it at this time.

Used the Bill Murray CD cover auto to make a custom Ghostbusters cut auto to go in the set.

Had been on Collette's waiting list since spring of last year for a larger sized commission. It was worth the wait, and arrived in mid-January.

Hello Fellow Collectors,

I think I started January with a bang. I picked up several PC cards that I been looking for a while. Not pictured I picked up Bauer and Yulin autos for my Scarface cast collection.

First my first Daisy!

The original Green Hornet!

Below some additions to my ladies from the 80s collection..

Received a commissioned "Thor" sketch by the amazing Natasa Kourtis. The card mirrors a sketch by Natasa that I picked-up last year:

It's been a while since I've had something new and post worthy from non-sport. That Collette above is super nice, wish I could get her to do a commission for me, but I've kinda gotten burned out going from long wait to long wait for my non-sport commissions. Only have 2 remaining that are currently set-up and waiting over a year for each of those now. Been concentrating on my high end baseball instead, which is more instant satisfaction. When you finally do get the art commissions though, it feels great, and I got this awesome Lak Transformers puzzle last month. The big boys Metroplex and Trypticon going at it!

I picked up zero cards in January, although, I came close to winning auctions for Hayden Christensen and Thor Ragnarok autos. I did pick up some non-sport stuff though. Very heavy on the comic con scene:

2016 SDCC Deadpool VHS (limited to 100) signed by Ryan Reynolds and creator Rob Liefeld

2017 NYCC Justice League #15 signed by Henry Cavill

2017 SDCC iZombie poster signed by Rose Mciver, David Anders, Aly Michalka, Malcolm Goodwin, Robert Buckley, Rahul Kohli, Diane Ruggiero-Wright

2017 SDCC Teen Titans Go poster signed by Michael Jelenic, Pete Michail, Aaron Horvath, Tara Strong, Greg Cipes, Scott Menville

Congrats. Sounds like she is taking commissions again. Surprised she had blanks from that set. It was one of her last and I think she only contributed a few cards. Enjoy!!!

I know she found some sketch card blanks (no marvel) from past sets recently. I commissioned some that I got back in Jan., but are sealed in a mailer right behind me. I mentioned it to a family member, so they offered to cover the cost as a holiday gift. So, I have no idea what they look like, but I did provide the character list. I'll post them at the end of December once I see them, lol!
