Let's see....

Flag has 42 stars-this flag was only around in 1890

And that's all I have lol.

Cool Photo

Josh Donaldson's ancestor standing at far left. Yours must be the one sitting down at far right pinching the flag. Knowing his descendant would become Random Battleship one day.

Some day us regulars should submit pics and ask one of the customs wizards to splice us all together against that background.

Looks like there are 48 stars on the flag (6 vertical, 8 horizontal) so it was taken during or after 1912.

Nice photo..

My bad, the photo quality isn't good so I counted 7 vertical lol.

Also pretty sure this isn't one team because there are a variety of jerseys.

Does that one jersey in the back, second from the right, say Norway?? As in Norway high school in Iowa?? They had very famous teams over the years, even made a movie about them.

It could be from the old coal miners' leagues in SE Ohio - Maynard, Barton, Lafferty, Holloway, Flushing, Newcomerstown, Gnadenhutten (sp?), Navarre, Cadiz, etc... I'm almost sure that a couple of the jerseys say "Midway"... will do some research to see if there was a Midway coal company or processing center in the early 20th century. The guys certainly look like laborers... would make sense if they were miners or railway workers on the shipping end. Midway railroad rings a faint bell with me.

The lighter jerseys in the front row almost surely say "Maynard" across the front. My dad and grandfather played in those leagues dating back to the 1930's - league folded in the late '70's-early-80's when the mines started shutting down for various reasons. My grandmother has several jerseys from this time period at her place (she never throws ANYTHING out)... I can look to see next time I head back to the Wheeling area.

Take it to Rick on Pawn Stars. He will call in his expert and offer you 10% of the actual value.
