Default Jordan betting around 80K per hand in Biloxi

Jordan was at the Beau Rivage tonight and was betting around 80K per hand, the guy that saw it said they wasnt letting people stand around long.

I know he has a ton of money, but that seems like an awful lot to me. I could see 10K but 80K.

He makes 80 million a year, and he's known for having a gambling problem.

Bingo, how much do you have to bet to feel the win or the loss. That's what he's doing.

He's worth a billion. 80k a hand to him is like 5 dollars a hand to the general population.

inb4 but he's a compulsive gambler, bad person, and overrated basketball player!!!!

Compulsive gambler, yes. Bad person? Maybe, but not because he gambles. Overrated hoops player? Depends on who you ask.

Nothing wrong with gambling. Everyone here is a gambler! Opening boxes/cases, fanduel, etc. With his bankroll $80k a hand is no big deal.. prob +/- a few mil every now and then. I'd like to be his dealer on a good night.

Who cares??????

His Money, His Problems.

Guy could go broke tomorrow, and be millionaire the next day. Just because of who he is.

The guy is a multimillionaire in the 100s of millions range. He makes money sitting there whether playing or taking a dump.

How funny is that, he has something in common with "hobbyists" that "collect" his cards and other high end cards.

Who goes to gamble is Biloxi? Spent 9 months there in AF Tech School and the place is a craphole. Spend the extra 2 hours flying and get to Vegas. Come on Jordan!

I am sorry. I fail to see the issue here. He is betting an amount that if he lost...it wouldn't be an issue to him.

Forbes estimates net worth at 1 billion. Annual income about 100 million. Thats 48 000 an hour. Not go mention his money is also making more money for him in the form of investments. If you look at it from his level 80k is maybe the bare minimum it takes to get any kind of rush.

It's easier to understand if you measure it from the other person's perspective vs own your own spending threshold and income.

Nothing to him, it's what he needs to feel he is having fun.
Would it be better he bet 5-10 bucks and get no kind of "fun" out of it?

My brother worked at Glen Abbey golf club right when Jordan retired. He was up for a pro/am charity thing. My brothers best buddy was his caddy. Everyone who worked there talked about how he would make bets with everyone on everything. He even made bets with the caddy(my bros friend). "If I birdie this hole you have to walk to the next hole backwards. If I boggie I have to carry my own bag". He was apparently really rude to staff as well - a big let down to everyone who was excited to meet him.
