But priority and first class have the same delivery time zones. All priority is just a fancy version of first class, "free insurance" and "free packaging". All priority mail is first class with a marketed name.

The delivery time zones include some wiggle room. But also, in the case of Priority, it is an actual deadline. In the case of First Class, it is more of an estimate.

I shipped a Priority package yesterday and it had "DELIVERY DATE DECEMBER 21" printed right on the label. The plain white envelope I shipped at the same time might also get to its destination on December 21. Or maybe December 22. Or maybe December 26.

Yesterday (December 19), I received a first class package which was postmarked November 20. This is unusual, but it's not unheard of.

Anyway, it's not considered best practice to charge for one thing, and then substitute a different thing and tell the customer that they're essentially the same thing and screw you. The seller could very easily set their eBay listing to give the customer a choice between First Class and Priority and let the customer decide if they think it's worth the extra expense. If they charge for Priority, they should ship Priority.

Not defending the seller, my main point is discussing post office policies.

delivery dates on priority are not guaranteed. Again more marketing bs from post office.
Only priority mail express - overnight delivery - is guaranteed.

Not sure why you're digging your heels in over this. Almost all of my Priority packages arrive within the window stated on the label. And I can track them. And I can ship heavy things. And I can pack things into a flat rate box or envelope.

With First Class I send an envelope and hope it shows up.

I would request the shipping difference be refunded and leave a negative feedback if they declined to do so. If I'm paying more for priority shipping, it better be shipped priority.

Just curious, is this opinion or fact?
Kind of sounds like opinion to me.
Not to mention wrong.

Enough already...geez. It’s obvious you don’t like the USPS for some reason but what you’re saying is wrong. Do you work for the post office or are you just trolling them?
