Cultural degeneracy. He’s not “fun” enough, aka boring

Is there a checklist of these Trout throwback cards? I love the '71, '87, and '89 auto. Never saw them before.

It will be interesting to see the bidding profiles of the "buyers" driving this up. I wouldn't use this auction as a data point.

I know for one that my son and I enjoy watching Trout because he is down to earth. Yes heís the most phenomenal talent to be on a baseball field since a Griffey, Bonds (younger) or even Mantle, Mays etc. Yes he has two MVPs and 4 second place MVP finishes. So many accolades but he is level headed and relatable. Heís from a blue collar area of New Jersey and he stays true to his roots and appreciates his place in MLB history. Guys like Harper EXPECT the attention and demand it.
More recent attention and the donning of the greatest is supposed to be on Harper or even Bryant, but itís not. People can say what they want about Trout being on a bad team, but until Ohtanis injury they were (and still could be) a threat in the AL West. He wants to win and could easily get caught up in contracts like Harper, but if Harper (according to some) is worth 300 million then Trout is worth 400 million. His attitude, demeanor and humbleness make him a great player and better person.

Got to think about it...the bowman chrome #175 refractor is low pop of only 76, it’s a logo rc, refractor a very good photo and has the bowman chrome brand power. Comparable to some update parallels pop wise (blue/cognac) and roughly only 500 produced? 2k may not be that far off and likley goes higher. It’s been under valued in my opinion for what it’s worth.

Agreed. Not sure why this number keeps popping up. Definitely common misinformation.

Brady's market definitely feels very much like the template for the future of the Trout market.

I wish I had bought some 10 ref 175's, but I do have two 9's, better than not having any.

I was guilty of that transaction but it wasn't through an auction format. I think this one goes well north and I don't trust this auction to be a valid data point of the market due to the seller and the potential of some unscrupulous buyers jumping in that were discussed previously in this thread.

Unfortunately, being the best player in the game doesn't equate to being the most popular.

Boston probably cheating again (stuffing the box) and Judgeheads, that pretty much explains it.

Surprised his 2011 BC 101 doesn't get any love. People will be out priced of the 175 and those (101) are going to skyrocket

More fail from you. Judge is behind trout right now in voting.

Probably triple the production of the 175, and released afterwards. I don't really see it catching on, but who knows....
