Thanks for the contest and the write up!

Man... I remember way back when I saw him and McGwire in Oakland... even caught a foul ball from McGwire during BP (Never got one of Canseco's)

My Fav player (Non Giants) is Mike Trout... I have only 2 autos (feel lucky to even have to have one that is his RC, after selling a couple of prospect autos I pulled WAY back in the day- sighs)

Have yet to see Trout play in person, the plan is to correct this next Season, and to travel South to see him play at home. I also fell safer cheering him there than I do in Oakland

Here's my fav' auto, and only RC auto I have of Trout...

Yadi Molina. Tough as nails, contributes offensively and defensively. Heart and soul of the Cardinals.

Thanks for the generous contest and your sentiments on the hobby and this forum! I'm a big Harper, Machado and Trout guy but I follow and collect a ton of other players almost as much. I have to give Harper a slight edge as being my absolute favorite modern player so I'll share my current favorite Harper auto. Of course, my favorite card changes all the time, but right now I'm loving this A&G Red Ink Harper:

Awesome, thanks for the contest! I have a 2016 Dynasty Carlton Fisk patch logo/Auto that is a favorite from all the other Fisk cards I own.

Been collecting Albert Pujols cards (base, inserts,GU,RCs,autos, etc.) since 2003 and even if I were to get rid of everything someday,I would keep this one:

Thanks for the cool card contest. Canseco was my favorite player back in the day. I forearm bashed my buddies, wore neon Mizuno batting gloves, got a mullet haircut, called his 1-900-telephone line, and even pretended to have a neck muscle twitch! That card was actually the first card I really wanted as a kid; Brings me back to being a boy. Jose was the first autograph I ever got at Yankee Stadium; probably my most exciting baseball moment of all time. Still have the baseball in my collection. It's always cool to see Canseco collectors here on Blowout.

Congrats on the milestone, 2000 unique cards is very impressive. My all-time favorite player is Mike Piazza. I've been collecting his cards since 93 and just surpassed 1000 unique cards this year. My favorite card of his is his spx Grand Finale. sorry no pic as I still have all my stuff in photobucket.

Just wanted to say that we now have another Canseco collector that can tell a story with full punctuation and correct grammar. Congrats on the collection and enjoy it.

Thanks! I definitely can't claim to be a player collector to the extent many Blowout Members are, more of a "key card" collector. But I definitely have far more of him than anyone else, he was my idol growing up as a little league player and collector.

Default Canseco Contest! And a thank you!

Congrats. That's a really impressive collection in such a short amount of time.

I've been a huge Piazza fan for as long as I can remember. And even tho he's a Dodger in this one, it's always been my favorite.

What!? There is a Canseco collector who does not have full punctuation and correct grammer? I thought that was a requirement of the club...

Congratulations on the milestone and awesome contest idea. I've enjoyed several amazing posts already and am subscribed looking forward to more. Please do not include me in the contest, but I could not decide between 2 of my McGwire's today.

The McGwire Strata is a gorgeous card - is it the sleeve that's making the two weird distortion lines?

Nope and neither did I lol. Who knew it would blow up like it did? A buddy of mine pulled 2 redemptions for it back in 2001 but I wasn't collecting him then . As iconic as that card is,I'd prefer the 2001 Donruss Signature RC over it. Less copies than the BC and even though it is a sticker auto,a much cheaper alternative.
