Default TV question for Yankee fans in NY

I was thinking about getting Hulu Live because they carry the Yes Network. Does anyone know if residents of NY state are able to watch the games on Hulu or are they part of the blackout restrictions?

https://www.hulu.com/live-tv

Click on "View all Channels in your Area" and put in your zip code. If you see YES, you'll get it. Nothing is blacked out on Hulu, Sling or DirectTV NOW in terms of local baseball channels.

I was thinking the same thing but I saw this disclaimer on their site:

Games are subject to regional availability and blackouts. Due to rights restrictions, live streaming of NFL games is not available on smartphones.

I didn't know if it is the same for the Yes Network.

There is a free trial.

Try Youtube TV while you are at it. Youtube TV has MLB Network (unlike Hulu).

NFL is a different animal. If the Yankee game is on the YES network, every TV that has that channel will get the game.

I get YES network but as soon as the Yankees start it goes black. I get it through the Directv sport package since I'm in Chicago. I have mlb.tv so no big deal but I'm just saying that having YES guarantees nothing.

Yea, out of market is a different story. I used to get WGN living in NJ and one day a week I'd get a Cubs afternoon game, while I would get old re-runs the rest of the time.

Who needs that when you can just stream it on line from Reddit.
