That would be nice but products like that sit on shelves and are slow sellers. Damage is already done.

I think we are starting to see that trend again. Where people are going back to a stable brand that is priced in the middle of the road, popular in terms of being busted and has quality chase within a large base set. Prizm fits the role. The same role, Chrome and finest played.

Prizm probably best reminds me of late 90s/early 00s collecting of any set out there

Upper Deck will put out a ton of Simmons autographs and probably work him into every set possible. But there will still be non-autographed Panini cards that will sell for more. Of course, it all depends on how Simmons does just as Lillard because that exclusive wouldn't have been a big deal if he hadn't turned out to be a solid player.

"Ben, can you put this golf polo on for us please?"

I'm kidding but I'm not. MJ's already there.

I honestly don't even understand what UD could do with Simmons. They don't have an NBA or NCAA license anymore. We're just going to get a bunch of cards like this...

Going to also get action shots with LSU brushed out or him wearing a UD Penny.

They didn't monopolize anything.

The NBA did.

The NBA likes to have one team for jerseys, one official company for Summer League Apparel, an Official Software Company, etc etc etc.

Upper Deck didn't pony up the money needed for the license, so that is on them and no one else.

I think it was the IRS but they reached a settlement. But this could be something different I haven't heard about.

Did they ever reach one last I read in April was that they got a postponement to gather more documents.

UD has had issues paying athletes on time and it is part of the reason the NBAPA, NFLPA, and MLBPA both listened to proposals only from Panini and Topps for cards.

So did the fake Yu-gi-oh cards kill UD? or UD made fake Yu-gi-oh cards to pay the players?

Who knows on that end. Might have been many missteps along the way.

That's terrible news for group breakers, breakers/flippers and anyone who wanted to collect him.

I am only collecting prizm every year so it doesn't bother me but I would have enjoyed seeing how much his NT RAP would go for!

I think UD has something planned. Does anyone know if UD can produce Simmons cards in his Australian jersey? Rio is around the corner and that would give them a chance for GU jerseys from the Olympics and autos in his home countries jersey. I imagine his cards would be quite popular with the Aussies if he is shown in his home colours and GU Olympic cards would be bad ass!!! I know UD produces international cards in hockey so it wouldn't seem far off to make bball! I know I would absolutely love a sp authentic Jamal Murray in a team canada uniform with a GU patch from Rio (that is if they can squeak by in Manila).

How did Simmons do outside the paint area shooting?

Ingram dominates him outside the paint area in shooting percentage.

Ingram better FT Shooter

Ingram 22 more Blocks than Simmons

SOS for Ingram was much harder than Simmons in doing this.

Simmons won't be able to drive to the basket as easily and get the easy hoops like he did in the SEC, he will have to learn to shoot a higher percentage outside of the paint.

Ingram comes in as a shooter that needs to refine his game and be able to deal with the wear and tear of the NBA.

Personally, I like Ingram, but Simmons is what if what if what. If he does this and if he does that, then yes he can become a good player, but he has some huge question marks that his time at LSU did not answer.
