Default Who gets a job first RG3 or Kaepernick

What do you all think? I'm more surprised Kaepernick hasn't been picked up.

CK7 is probably still a better QB than some of the other ones out there. I think it's amazing how teams may not want him due to kneel-gate. Players who have beaten up their spouse/fiance/girlfriend/random person, driven drunk several times, killed dogs, and carried unlicensed weapons have been given several chances to play. A guy exercises his right to free speech and he gets ostracized for it. People stop watching because of CK7 yet were fine with guys like Greg Hardy, Michael Vick, and others playing and cashing checks. Kind of crazy. I'm not saying CK7 is a great QB, but he would be a pretty serviceable backup I think.

RG III I also think could be a good backup it's just, does his ego allow that to happen?

Kaepernick kneeling pisses off about half the fans and him sucking at football pisses off the rest of them.

He had a decent season last year. I had him on my fantasy team and he put up numbers/points for me. If he can get back to his 2012 or 2013 form somebody is going to get a steal!

Lets try not comparing beating up a female to killing dogs (and actually having to serve a punishment, unlike the large amount of woman beaters in the NFL)

No. Just pointing out why Kaepernick doesn't have a job.

11 starts, 12 games, 196-331, 59.2%, 2241 yards, 16 td, 4 int, 90.7 rating, 55.2 QBR, sacked 36 times, 69 carries, 468 yards, 6.8 YPC (highest of his career)

I would think there are a few teams that would like it if their QB had those numbers in 2016 or even 2017 coming up

Brock Osweiler 2016 - 301-510, 2957 yards, 15 td, 16 int
NY Jets as a team 2016 - 311-550, 3645 yards, 16 td, 25 int
Chicago Bears as a team 2016 - 347-559, 4139 yards, 19 td, 19 int
LA Rams 2016 - 312-536, 3313 yards, 14 td, 20 int
Cleveland 2016 (7 players attemped a pass) - 338-567, 3693 yards, 15 td, 14 int

I mean come on, as a football player he still might have a spot in this league. i think he deserves his chance to play football still, and i think he is better than a few of these teams' options

Not really. He was making a case for why other guys shouldn't be able to play because of other issues, which I agree with. Kaepernick is not unemployed just because he kneeled, as I pointed out only about half the people care about that issue.

As a person of color I really appreciate what Kaep did. However most of America doesn't and unfortunately signing him would be bad for business because of the backlash so I don't think that any NFL owner would touch him yet they will bring back dog killers, rapists, woman beaters, drunks, dope fiends, etc. It really says a lot about the priorities of our society that we value someone standing up to sing a song honoring a stupid little piece of cloth than we do the lives and safety of other living beings.

RG3 has a better chance than CK7 to be picked up by a team. I like the HS05 joke. A good point was drawn up about beating your wife, RR27 is doubtful to get a second chance. I know MV7 did but he did serve his time. GH76 is just a nut case.

Well that and his idiotic statement about Cuba, along with not voting. He had peoples' attention, but proved how stupid he really is.

Colin Kaepernick can actually contribute. RGIII is one hit away from being carted out of the stadium on a gurney.

Kaepernick will get a job... probably after the Draft once that shakes out... but he'll absolutely find a spot on a roster.

RG3 probably will as well. I'll bet that Kaepernick gets a job first however.

Are we quantifying this as an NFL job, a starting job, CFL, selling real estate....

Kaepernick wants starter money.

Funny because I in return could say it says a lot about some people's lack of respect for sacrifices made by people before them that gave them the opportunities they have today. How is the life or safety of Kaepernick at risk because of a "stupid little piece of cloth"?

Why,because he is no longer going to get paid like a starting QB in the NFL and instead make 4-5 million a year to back someone up? Showing a lack of respect to the flag or anthem is sort of like pissing on the grave of a loved one to many.

During the anthem normal people bow their head, remove their hat, or place their hand above their heart to mourn the loss of many and to show appreciation for what we have and the price we've paid to achieve it.

BGT, don't bring logic into the thread. It will just end up getting it closed. Kaep is a POS to 70% of the Quite people, and a Activist to the loudest 5%.

I would hope RGIII signs to back up and is a given a shot. Had glimpses, but just so fragile.

Kaep, well I hope he gets what I believe he deserves, and then when he asks for the Cops help, they say, I'm sorry now you need us? But Ill stay away. from really deterring this thread.
