Just had a little fun opening six boxes of 2010 Topps Update. Here's the breakdown:

Did you get any of the legends variations?

OK. I'm not sure if I'm thinking of the same cards as you. Are these the cards of guys like Tris Speaker that are on 1997 Topps Background or something completely different?

There are base card variations, although I'm not sure how rare they were in 2010. They look exactly like the base cards, but with retired players. As an example (from Series 2, but the same concept):

Thanks for the info, but struck out on those! I actually got two each of three different players. Oh well, very happy to have pulled the Stanton Gold nonetheless!
