iZombie Show

I thought I'd start a new thread for the iZombie show.
I'll be watching it!

The premiere is tomorrow, Tuesday, March 17th at 9pm on The CW.

I'm reading the comics, right now, and they are so good! I'm ashamed I didn't read them back when they were first published.

Fun fact: the strange mask on the cover to House of Mystery Halloween Annual #1(iZombie 1st app.) is from the iZombie story. There are many other stories in that book, so you wouldn't necessarily know that, if you didn't read the story. It looks different than the Mike Allred interior art, and all of the other iZombie covers, so I just found it interesting that it is essentially an iZombie cover.

Mike Allred did a nice job with the show's intro. Nice to see the original creator's involved. Maybe there will be some new iZombie comics in the future, if the show does well.

thanks for the reminder.

i thought the central idea behind iZombie was really interesting and the characters were good but i thought the story lost focus after the first 1-2 arcs.

i'm planning to check the show out and hoping it'll be the next big thing as i still have most of the run + house of mystery annual.

I enjoyed it. Not quite as strong as Veronica Mars out of the gate, but it has great potential, and the actress who plays Liv is perfect for the part.

I think it will be tougher for non VMars/CW fans to get into, because it's so much different than the comic. Not a surprise. They warned us ahead of time.

The comic art bumpers, and Mike Allred intro were nice touches, I thought. Looking forward to the next episode.

I watched it after Flash (great first new season episode) just because it was on.

It's ok. I don't really understand her powers very well, like her super zombie mode etc. Maybe they will flesh that out in later episodes.

The how she became a zombie could have been, much, much, much, much funnier. They need to watch Zombieland to get an idea on how to do gory funny well.

I'm only 6 issues into the comic, and I think it's very clever/funny. There's some nice pop culture references, too - like, Gwen dressing like Shaun of the Dead in the House of Mystery Hween Special story, etc.

I agree about her zombie origin story. They seemed to rush through that. The actor who plays the zombie who bit/scratched her is really good, and I'm guessing that he'll show up as the show's villain/antagonist, later.

I think they were just trying to cram a lot into the first episode. I think it will get better going forward.

Yes, the no sex thing threw me for a loop, but I have a few ideas on that...maybe, too graphic to discuss here lol

I assume that eating the brains helps sustain her physically, as well as mentally, so that's why she doesn't look all decomposed.

Plus, the need to have an attractive zombie as our T.V. protagonist.

My guess is that she will be able to have sex in an upcoming episode after being partially cured of something.

It will be interesting to see how many episodes the CW orders. The first season is 13 episodes.

I like it but not love it. She is looking hotter in recent episodes so that helps but they spend way too much time on her EX's storyline, which I don't care about.

We need more time on zombie meat shop and her Scooby Doo crime fighting.

Would like to see less case of the week and more of a serialized story. But it's good, basically it's Castle or CSI just with zombies.

I've enjoyed it so far. Plus, it's a show I can try and get my wife to watch since she enjoyed Veronica Mars so much

I love this show! I have all the important issues. I bought vertigo #1s for awhile , since they seem to be the easiest investment in comics. I bought several regular and variant covers for the first issue. Now would probably be a good time to grade and sell them, since they seem to have shot up in value.
