When he rode Shaq's back to 3 championships. Kobe is his prime wasn't even considered the best in the NBA.

That's exactly what I said. If MJ says it is tougher to play against Barkely than Malone, then I would see his opinion is a valid statement. Now, MJ has never played against Lebron. MJ played against Kobe when Kobe was still like 22 and MJ was like 40. So, MJ doesn't know Lebron as a player, but seeing Lebron as a GM or an owner.

Agreed. At least I am starting to see eye to eye with some of the Lebron fans (Except for Tristan)

Pretty hard to start a flame war with a reasonable person. Nice try, Mr. troll

The only way you can put "kobe" and "prime" together is when you are talking about beef.

2000 to 2010.

That's what makes Kobe great. It wasn't 2 or 3 great seasons he had, since he started starting games he's been pretty great.

During those 10 years he averaged 28.5 points per game and 29 points per game in the playoffs

How credible is someone's opinion when they said a player's prime is 10 years?

Just as credible as a hugger trying to justify 1 ring is greater than 5!!!

Serious question, what would you consider Kobe's prime to be?

Same to, don't ask questions and not answer them. What do you consider his prime?

not ten years.

you are the kobe expert i thought you would be able to point out when kobe was his best...

you are the one praising and defending him why should i answer a question you can't.

Kobe had the luxury of not being thrown to the lions, plus he had the best mentor in the game.

I answered it with what I thought. Now I'm asking what you think and you don't have an answer yet know mine is wrong.

Hmm....

But in 02-03 he was All NBA first team, NBA All-Defense first team.

Was 2nd in the league in scoring (30.0 ppg)
14th in the league (3rd among SG) with 5.9 assists per game.
35th in the league (1st among SG) with 6.9 rebounds per game
6th in the league in steals with 2.2 a game.

That's pretty darn impressive for someone not in their prime

Its not a box score nerd. I made my guess, I was just using the stats to show how he played during a season someone didn't consider his prime.

There's a big difference between using stats to SUPPORT an opinion and using stats to FORM an opinion.

I was using them to support.
