I'm not. Haven't since I was about 13. I found it stupid at that point and decided that my time would end... However I now enjoy watching my kids getting dressed up. I'm in my 30's, so it's been quite a while since I dressed up.

We had this mean old lady move into our neighborhood over summer (she has since been forced to move due to legal issues filed against her because of what she did to some neighbors) It's since become a bit of a joke just how crazy and mean she was so I'll be dressin' up as her for Halloween reenacting some of her best moments throughout the neighborhood. Should be fun.

Geek alert... geek alert. The whole family is doing a Star Wars theme this year. I'm going as Luke from ESB with my two year old on my back dressed as Yoda.

for starters she would just come out of her house randomly and start flipping off and cussing at all the neighborhood kids. She told two 6 yr olds to get their n***** asses out of the road (when the kids were already in the grass). She lined up every neighborhood kid (age 7-15) and started just belittling them and then she struck two and left scratch marks on 3 others. She labeled one set of neighbors trailer trash, another a dirty mexican. She then confronted my mother in a convenient store and started cussing her out for no reason. Cops were called 8 separate times each time she would state that she did nothing and we all were just making #@#@#@#@ up. It wasn't until she laid hands on the kids that she started get into real trouble and then started acting out even more. Last two things she did was one) when she was walking down the block, a little girl and her older sister were walking their dog (who had just stopped to do its business) she came over to them all nice like then got right up in the little girls face and said you better pick up your dogs #@#@#@#@ or I'll kill your ****** dog. Then she called my neighbor's employer and told them that he beats his wife and kids. She is now facing 9 counts of assault, 7 counts of child abuse, 3 counts of verbal abuse and my neighbor is suing her for defamation and slander. The crazy lady also told cops that the neighborhood cats and dogs would come over to her house and talk to her and she wanted them to stop doing so. Oh and also we found out she practiced witchcraft in her house the cops told us. So yeah.....while it was an eventful and just messed up summer in my neighborhood. The Mrs. and I are thinking about going as Misty and Ash. (Pokemon) but I would be Ash from Evil Dead. So we'd end up being a horror/nerd culture mash up.

That being said, the single-most successful costume I've ever seen was a guy who took that super flexible/stretchable AC ducting and stood inside it. Then he covered the opening with black cloth and attached a pole to the top. He would walk around, raising the pole to the music and looking like a giant, bobbing foil worm. Every girl downtown stopped to talk to him.
I guess it was just phallic enough without being too penisy.
