After scoring the OT winner for Providence last night, Austin Czarnik is in the lineup for the 1st time since early Nov. getting the call-up to play the Leafs.

Good news for one of my PC guys, he currently leads the Providence Bruins in points.'

Kevin Miller did not skate yesterday and McAvoy returned to practice playing with limited contact, Miller looks like he will not dress Sat, and it's a possibility that McAvoy makes his return tonight, would be a nice pickup for this team in a big division matchup at home.

Bruins played perhaps their best home game last night ending a 6 game losing streak to the Leafs with a 4-1 win.

2 straight games Tuukka should have had a shutout, only goals allowed have been off of deflections, he is in a zone!

Rask extended his streak to 20 games (18-0-2) and has not lost in regulation since Nov 26th

Still listing Accari & Bjork as day to day, Accari is suffering from a 'lower body' injury and I don't believe he's been skating with the team yet.

Great to see Czarnik finally get the call again, had a beautiful assist on Krug's PP goal.

Off to Ma. and a SB Party, everyone enjoy the game today, GO PATS!!!!!!

Classy move by Cassidy tonight putting the A on Michigan native Torey Krug's jersey

Final game of Marchand's suspension, playing tomorrow night in NY.

WOW how things have changed in Hockey Town, their lower bowl of the arena is pretty empty, tough times for Red Wings hockey.

Three points behind Tampa with two games in hand.

Fewest regulation losses in the NHL.

Crazy town.

Tuukka improves to 19-0-2 over his last 21 games, goaltending wins in the NHL and Rask has put this team on his back!

Rask is 19-0-2 in his past 22 games (21 starts). He has allowed two or fewer goals in seven straight games.

Great to see Krejci on the score sheet again his production is going to be needed down the stretch.

Czarnik continues to impress on the 4th line, with Vatrano leaving the game last night, it looks like this will be an extended stay for this kid. Heinen is proving every game that he is a pure goal scorer, get's credited with a game winner last night.

Marchand back in the lineup tonight against the Rangers, B's went 4-1 without him as the beat goes on.

19-0-2, huh? That's catching fire. Wow.

That Schaller goal was just incredible and is further proof that this team is getting production top to bottom.

Big night for Bergeron and the B's take back to back games in Detroit and NY!!

Khudobin showed again that he is a true backup goaltender that can be counted on down the stretch.

That's the worst performance by a Rangers team at home vs. the B's that I can recall, that team is just a mess.

I thought King Henrik was going to kill Tony DeAngelo after the Nash goal. He was screaming at him.

NHL Network just revised their Top 16 and the Bruins are in the #1 slot for the 1st time this season, quite an accomplishment for such a young club.

The King looks like heís had enough of the Rangers current BS, itís going to be interesting to see what happens with him during this rebuilding mode they are about to embark on.

Rough weekend for the B's who played their worst game of 2018 in a 4-2 loss to last place Buffalo Sat. followed up by another sloppy performance in NJ.

B's stole the 2 pts. in NJ primarily due to the goaltending of Anton Khudobin, if not for his spectacular play this could easily have been a lost weekend.

Bruins uncharacteristically allowed numerous odd man rushes and allowed both Buffalo and NJ far too many opportunities getting behind their defense, the D has been solid this year but not so much this weekend.

Bruins are 2nd in the Conference 3 points behind the Lightning with a game in hand, they are 19-2 4 over their past 25 games

Yeah the Buffalo game was just a poor effort, they seemed uninterested. Last night in Jersey it seemed once they grabbed the lead they were content to sit on it. Which in the past has proven to kill them just like it did last nite. Let them lose a lil bit now because we all knew it was coming. I dont want them coughing up leads in the playoffs and not seeing the 2nd round you know. The last 2 games were not indicative of how they can play, and clamp down so as not to lose leads. I also hate when they dont clear out the front of the net, hit someone for christ sake

2nd and 3rd periods looked like the defense that we've seen most of the year. Hopefully they are done with what they showed against Buffalo and New Jersey and the first period against the Flames.

Now for the always tough Western Canada trip.

Bruins returned to what has made them successful and that's playing shutdown defense, hard to believe but with the Lightning loss last night the B's are now just 1 pt. from 1st place in the League (2 games in hand) and lead the entire NHL in Goal Differential +52 .

Based on how this team has lost a little focus as of late, this trip out west could very well serve as a vital bonding experience for this young club going forward.

Great seeing all the 77-78 players get honored last night, 10 of the 11 - 20 + goal scorers from that season were present and they still remain the only group to accomplish that feat!

Latest rumor has the B's looking at Patrick Maroon for a possible 'rental' acquisition that would not only add depth but offer some additional veteran leadership, this only works if they don't have to give up a high daft pick and or blue chip prospect IMO.
