Default Scam Alert Elia Wicker in Hawthorne CA

Scam report. Elia Wickers in this group is scamming Rob Zeida out of $550.

Offenders ebay account: https://www.ebay.com/usr/yaksticks/

” I sold a David Ortiz UD Premiere Logoman 1/1 to Elia Wickers (Yaksticks on ebay). I mistakenly sent the refund before receiving the card back. He has since refused to send card back saying that he can not print the label, and demanding me to send him more money to buy the label myself. Ebay verified the label was legit, I can send a link to the label to any admin here but he has absolutely refused to send back card to me. ”

Admits to receiving the refund and not shipping the card back in sports card scammers exposed facebook group.

To be honest, that's on you for refunding before you received the card back.

yes, that was his mistake.

It's still criminal to keep the money and the card.

While the seller did refund early, I think it's more telling that the buyer is taking advantage of that mistake and refusing to send the card back.

Well hate to be this guy but FTC says that if a refund is given before item is returned the item is forfeited as a free gift, same thing if you send the wrong card to someone it technically is there s to keep it's not illegal and cops will do nothing

It's not a scam.. the guy is just a scumbag taking advantage of a poorly timed refund.

I guess when I think of a scam I think of an on going process. This seems like his true colors have been shown because of a mistake by the seller

The guy staring back at me every time I looked in the mirror would keep me from doing this...

Yeah, I'm going to have to side with the Seller : as a Buyer and someone who has the amount of feedback he does - that is a dick ass move.

The card is not yours if you didn't pay for it - I don't care what the seller did.

But - I get the technicality part.

Laws aren't always moral. And morality is not always backed by law.

Buyer is a dirtbag. While he - apparently - can't be legally forced to send back the card or money, he's still an @$$hole for keeping something that he effectively did NOT pay for.

Regardless of whether we call this a scam or not - he's still an @$$hole I'm adding to my block list.

I agree. My simple statement was that buyer is and isn't in the wrong.

This is one of those instances when the tone-deaf can't distinguish between the letter of the law and the spirit of the law
