BGS Group Submission for 100 Case Break
Quote:
I am hoping for a better deal, but I will use this as our guide for now: 10 day service for $11.50 per card with $1 auto. I will give you my opinion on your cards - even chrome base - and I will wipe down all cards, sleeve and place in a semi rigid. I will do all paperwork. The only extra fee will be shipping/paypal fees back to you. Everything else is included. What I need from you: 1. A clear list of the cards you want checked - 1 line per card. 2. A commitment to grade any card on your list I deem a strong candidate for 9.5 or better. 3. A commitment to pay for your grading submission and return shipping. Your list should look like this: All Yankee mini 1-100 any color BCAP-JHA Josh Hader 51-100 blue and up BP17 Jose Abreu 1-100 base and up If you decide not to grade after I examine all your cards and wipe them down and place them in semi rigids, you owe me $2 per card. Some people let me do all that work last time and then just said, "Hey, you know what? Never mind, but hey thanks for the prep work!" I need to know by noon tomorrow please. Please do NOT pm me. Post in the thread: eBay Consignment & BGS Group Submission for 100 Case Break - Discussion Thanks. (If we get a better deal on grading, your cost per card will go down.)

It isnt about what we think is fair, your the one that has the card, why couldnt you just ship the card for us early for a fee? Same principle but no hold on funds. I would rather do that and have the card in hand. Say we agree to X amount per card to ship early, that to me makes more sense. Agree?

Yea that makes sense ok you could charge a set amount for a package but they have to let you know within 24 hours of the hit/hits i think more people would be interested in that that an ebay type deal. Just have to figure out what that fair amount is?

I think it would be easier to just have a set amount to ship a single card/a few cards after the case break. I don't think it should be cheap as most people would want this to happen. But I think $10-25 on top of the actually shipping costs would help some people get some of their top hits asap and would even make it worth your wild. I know if you did 5 cases in one night and I hit some amazing color I would pay to have those cards sent to me the next day.

If I were you, I would charge a flat 20% (this will also cover the shipping cost) and only do this for cards estimated at $500 above. That gives you a profit of 7%-shipping which will be at least ($500x0.07) - $15 (shipping + insurance) = $20 and goes up for higher dollar cards.
IMO charging any more than 20% really isn't worth it for the seller and any less won't be worth it for you. This is especially true since you have a 21 day hold on paypal funds. Also - for the BGS submission will you take submissions for cards not in your break, ie can I send cards to you to get graded?

Recently I ran a group submission from the 2013 Bowman Mini 50 set break.
I was able to look at all the cards and give my opinion on what cards would grade gem or better. We submitted 140 cards - 1 was submitted even though we expected a 8.5 or 9.0 (super). Of the 139 other cards, 5 were 9.0s (3.6%), 134 were 9.5 or better (96.4%). These were included: 8107994 Baseball 2013 Bowman Chrome Mini Clint Frazier 10.0 View 8107995 Baseball 2013 Bowman Chrome Mini Clint Frazier 10.0 View 8107999 Baseball 2013 Bowman Chrome Mini Adam Walker 10.0 View 8108000 Baseball 2013 Bowman Chrome Mini Adam Walker 10.0 View 8108001 Baseball 2013 Bowman Chrome Mini Wil Myers 10.0 View 8108009 Baseball 2013 Bowman Chrome Mini Wil Myers 10.0 View 8108014 Baseball 2013 Bowman Chrome Mini Wil Myers 10.0 View 8108015 Baseball 2013 Bowman Chrome Mini Wil Myers 10.0 View 8108016 Baseball 2013 Bowman Chrome Mini Wil Myers 10.0 View 8108019 Baseball 2013 Bowman Chrome Mini Clint Frazier 10.0 View 8108020 Baseball 2013 Bowman Chrome Mini Clint Frazier 10.0 View 8108026 Baseball 2013 Bowman Chrome Mini Clint Frazier 10.0 View 8108029 Baseball 2013 Bowman Chrome Mini Clint Frazier 10.0 View 8108030 Baseball 2013 Bowman Chrome Mini Clint Frazier 10.0 View 8108032 Baseball 2013 Bowman Chrome Mini Wil Myers 10.0 View 8108040 Baseball 2013 Bowman Chrome Mini Clint Frazier 10.0 View 8108042 Baseball 2013 Bowman Chrome Mini Clint Frazier 10.0 View 8108043 Baseball 2013 Bowman Chrome Mini Clint Frazier 10.0 View 8108044 Baseball 2013 Bowman Chrome Mini Colin Moran 10.0 View 8108045 Baseball 2013 Bowman Chrome Mini Colin Moran 10.0 View 8108053 Baseball 2013 Bowman Chrome Mini Colin Moran 10.0 View 8108058 Baseball 2013 Bowman Chrome Mini Clayton Blackburn 10.0 View 8108060 Baseball 2013 Bowman Chrome Mini Colin Moran 10.0 View 8108086 Baseball 2013 Bowman Chrome Mini Black Refractors Carson Kelly 10.0 View 8108090 Baseball 2013 Bowman Chrome Mini Blue Refractors Adam Walker 10.0 View 8108093 Baseball 2013 Bowman Chrome Mini Blue Refractors Jonathan Schoop 10.0 View 8108095 Baseball 2013 Bowman Chrome Mini Blue Refractors Tommy Kahnle 10.0 View 8108098 Baseball 2013 Bowman Chrome Mini Blue Refractors Yasiel Puig 10.0 View 8108106 Baseball 2013 Bowman Chrome Mini Green Refractors Chris Stratton 10.0 View 8108123 Baseball 2013 Bowman Chrome Mini Green Refractors Adam Walker 10.0 View 8108137 Baseball 2013 Bowman Chrome Mini Gold Refractors Kelvin De Leon 10.0 View 8108142 Baseball 2013 Bowman Chrome Mini Gold Refractors Micah Johnson 10.0 View 8108143 Baseball 2013 Bowman Chrome Mini Gold Refractors Adalberto Mejia 10.0 View 8108154 Baseball 2013 Bowman Chrome Mini Purple Refractors Gregory Polanco 10.0 View 8108155 Baseball 2013 Bowman Chrome Mini Red Refractors Kohl Stewart 10.0 View 8108159 Baseball 2013 Bowman Chrome Mini Refractors Michael Wacha 10.0 View

Sign me up for the BGS submission. Any you think might be 9.5 of mine, I would submit. I will probably get less than 40 cards in the break, but I will go with your judgement on the grades.

houdini as always I am interested in grading any and all cards you feel are worth grading.
The only exception to this for me would be if you thought it would be best to just do the ebay auction right away on a certain card (not sure I have any chance at this in this break). I'd happily pay at least what the express shipping would cost for this consignment service--ultimately the card still gets sold and changes hands one less time. I'd even pay a bit more than whatever express shipping would cost for the service aspect of this. The question is whether or not this would be enough for your time during this chaos. Of course express shipping costs more for me than others, but in the end I trust your judgment on all cards that you pull for me regardless of the scenario. Just wanted to post this here for future reference. Thanks! |

I'll splurge...
H,
Any of my Tyler Wade autos 1-50 that you think are worth grading, please do. I have some extra sub-teaching money lately so I might as well go for it. Thanks, VinnyH

How many here prefer a 10 day sub this time instead of 20? I may consider this with any Bryant mini color and Robertson ref or better autos.
