No there are other ways to go about it. So let me come #@#@#@#@ on something you stand for and put your life on the line for because I dont like it. Tell me how you feel then. Your also telling me there are not a lot better ways for him to do something about it. Lets say attend a rally or address the issue in a news conference after the game? I just read about it and it absolutely disgusts me. I hope he gets relegated to the practice squad so I don't have to see him on playing on Sunday's.

The older I have become.. I really try to put myself in others shoes...

But it is hard not to think about the millions who died to build and protect this country

So he could make millions of dollars to play a game..

I wonder if he did not live in the united states and did not play football how his live would be

Preaching to the choir, I served my time in the US Navy so I can back that up. Don't speak to me like I don't know what it means to serve our country, been there.

He's a big boy, he doesn't need your approval to do anything.....but let's just start firing people for there beliefs, that makes sense.

I do too. If he had actually done something about it, say address it with the media and actually go out and do something in the local media, I could understand more. To me its almost like he was just too lazy to stand up then made an excuse. I honestly feel sorry for the guy because he seems so uneducated.

Kaepernick has every right to do what he did last night, there isn't anyone that should say boo. However, what he did was extremely stupid for so many reasons.

Where was this during his SuperBowl, during his bowl games at Nevada, during NFC Championship games? Could it possibly be that he stood for those anthems because he was relevant, because the spotlight was already on him and he loved this country for giving him the opportunity to be a rich, famous QB for the SF 49ers?

Well up until yesterday, that spotlight vanished. Fighting to beat Blaine Gabbert, he decided during a un-televised, pre-season game to make a statement. But I come away from this reading it as a statement about him, and not about anything he (might have been) hoped to accomplish. If his career stays in the tank, he'll be remembered as the guy that didn't stand for the National Anthem that one time, nothing more.

That should be more than enough reason to get off your ass, and salute.

I understand where hes coming from, but this is not how you voice your displeasure, and he done &^%$# up with this one, big time.
