Default What are your draft plans??

Well, the first round of the NFL will be upon us in just a few short hours. What are your plans for the draft? For me, I usually get together with a few of my college buddies, order a lot of pizza and wings, try to correctly pick the entire first round, make bets on each draft pick, and drink some beer. It's almost like a holiday for us.

It seems like this is the first time in a long time that the entire state of ND is excited for the draft. It's always a big deal for me, but this year should be even more fun.

Is there anything fun you get to do? Maybe attend the draft? Three day party? Just watch in on your phone?

Try not to eat enough to make me sleepy and my cousin will be over for one of his very few visits during the year. I am optimistic to stay awake to see pick 22 for the Texans and then debate whether the Broncos will trade up after that since Elway may be antsy and my father is a fan. My cousin is a Cowboys fan so his excitement will come and go early.

Bourbon or Scotch, "fun stuff", chicken wings, pizza, smoked ribs, two TV's so I can watch my Hawks close out against Boston and the Draft at same time. It's like Xmas in April

Hope the Chiefs don't trade Charles. That's my only plan.

I go over my buddies' place which is actually over the funeral home that they own/run.

Its a good number of people who are in one of my fantasy leagues, so its a good time. One of our friends just came back from overseas a few days ag after about 8 months or so, so hopefully he is there to catch up with.

Plus if the Jets make a bad pic, I'll just go jump in one of the coffins.

This... except I probably won't be posting... just reading.

I used to either have a huge draft party and/or go to the Browns "official" draft party at the bar when it was Saturday and Sunday

Thursday night killed that so I prefer to just watch alone as I actually listen to the talking heads in between picks

I'll be working for the first hour, but should be home in time to catch the Raiders @ 14.

Good food, a drink or two, and watching it with my kids. What a perfect night.

^ lol pretty much.

I'm more excited about the later rounds oddly enough. I'll probably have the tv on in the background.

One thing I will be watching with interest is where a few players go.

Hargreaves, Bullard, and Neal will go in the first 3 rounds, but Morrison is the one I'm interested in.

(Sorry, all UF players.)

As you should be lol. We pick great in the late rounds. Maybe Clevland will surprise us and draft an OT and trade us Joe Thomas. For our 26th pick.

Unless something crazy happens tonight isn't going to be very suspenseful for us Eagles fans. That said, it's still exciting. Hopefully we got our guy. And if we did, we'll look back at tonight as the night that started it all.

That, and I just love the NFL and am happy to be watching anything NFL-related.

Got a box of Chrome that was just delivered, and the wife offered to buy/make whatever I want for dinner. Pizza or Cheesesteaks, I haven't decided just yet....

i don't consider the draft an event anymore. with just one round tonight, two rounds tomorrow and then saturday, it's not a big deal to me

i probably won't watch tonight, catch up with picks on my phone and see who the Giants take. then move on. When it was three rounds on saturday, 4 sunday, that was an event

Tend to agree with this.

I'll watch, because I still love the draft, but the appointment viewing of all 7 rounds for me is done.

Thursday and Friday I'll watch every pick.

Saturday will be whenever I have time. The old days I didn't leave my couch for 2 days.
