Default NL MVP?

Right off let me say that I don't follow the NL much, but just looking at the numbers I'm having a hard time picking someone who'll win the MVP. Goldschmidt maybe? Any NL fans have some picks?

I also was going to mention Kershaw, but the whole pitcher-CY-MVP thing will probably stop it from happening.

Freeman has zero chance. McCutchen, Kershaw and Goldschmidt in that order currently.

Agreed but he will get some votes. Enough to finish 3rd or 4th

Lol. How does Freeman have ZERO chance? He's the catalyst for the team with the best record in the NL.

Seriously? He is not even the best 1st baseman in the NL. I would place him behind Votto and Goldschmidt by a very wide margin.

Zero chance.

I agree its Cutch, but ZERO chance for Freeman is comical.

I am sure Freeman will get some votes, but they will be wasted votes. He shouldnt be considered a top candidate.

McCutchen, Kershaw, Goldschmidt. I mean is Freeman even the Braves MVP candidate over Johnson?

Cargo, Cuddyer, I mean there are a lot of guys Id pick over Freeman, who is having a good year but not an MVP year

I think its to tough to call no ones numbers stand out in the field, one big surge for a handful of guys could get them the MVP.

Freddie Freeman???? On pace for 18 homers<--- what? a hair over 100 RBIs and a 1:2 BB to SO ratio? Please.

He is clearly one of the best young talents but not near MVP caliber at this point.

Easily cutch right now, with kershaw and votto a close 2nd and third. Freeman shouldn't get a single 1st place vote, and honestly, shouldn't get any 2nd place ones either.
