Couldn't make it to the Comic Shop this year, so I just bought a full set of FCBD (for $40) so as to get the 3 titles I collect for sure (Simpsons, Spongebob, and Bob's Burgers) plus a nice sampling of all the other stuff that's out there.

Wow, 50% discount is pretty generous. We only had buy 2 get 1 free at ours.

Yep. I do the same. Went to a new store this year and FULL advantage of the sale they had. Buy one get one on back issues. Asked the kid behind the counter if the wall books were included i. The sale and he said yep.

Made out with a ton..spent a ton but it was so worth it.

Cool sketch

On a side note, he looks like the product of Michael J Fox having a child with the guy from the Hobbit.

Got my complete 2018 FCBD set from Mile High yesterday, and its an impressive stack of books. It was actually 50+ comics (including the 3 Mile High Logo variant versions).
I collect Simpsons, Spongebob, and Bob's Burger comics, so I needed those for my set. The others, I like to get if only to see the state of (printed) comics and maybe find a couple of new ongoing books to read, which I usually do. Nice to see comics from the good people at Starburns Industries, although I wish there'd have been a Rick and Morty again this year. Also looking forward to reading the new Brian K. Vaughan Image book. He's one of the only writers whose new work I seek out these days.

How much were they selling it for?

It's $40, but you have to pay some shipping even if you place an additional order with them that qualifies for free shipping (which is also easy for me to do as they still have a great selection of oddball material, which I'm always interested in). I think I was charged $7 for the shipping on the FCBD set, so $47 total. The books were unstamped, in mint condition, and there were three in there you can only get from Mile High, as I mentioned, so those might actually be worth a few bucks, down the line.

I've got complete sets from them in past years, and I think the money was always donated to local charities (in Colorado, where Mile High is). I don't know if that was the case this year. The sold several hundred sets, though, so I guess people find it a lot easier than only getting a couple of them at a comic shop (although I like to do that, too, admittedly to double up on Simpsons and Spongebob, but mostly to support the shop).
