Don't see any major splash for anyone. This has to be one of the most dreadful free agent classes in decades.

Not player related but the Tribe picked up the option for Tito in 2019 and 2020

you cant really get any MLB level talent at SP for less than 12M per year these days.....The Tigers gave Mike f'n Pelfrey $16M/2yr last season....Jaime is basically Kershaw compared to pelfrey!!! lol

Don't worry, the White Sox will gladly take any player at least 5 years past their prime.

As a National League fan, I think the most interesting storylines of the offseason will be related to the NL West duel between the Giants and Dodgers, since the Cubs and Nationals will be clear favorites in their division's next year (sorry Mets fans, I don't think your starters can stay healthy).

The Dodgers have two very important free agents to re-sign in Turner (one of their only good right-handed hitters) and Jansen, and need to figure out what to do with Yasiel Puig (another right handed hitter). And given the Dodgers struggles against LHP, it'll be interesting to see if the Giants make Ty Blach (who outpitched Kershaw in the next-to-last game of the season) their fifth starter, which would give them three lefties in the rotation. The Giants need to sign a closer, and although it would be cool if they stole Jensen from LA, I think it's much more likely that they'll go for the lower-priced Melancon.

Giants need a couple Bullpen arms, a big bat and a left fielder.

Cespedes is the name that comes up the most as to who they will try to get for left field. If they can get Cespedes and even a halfway decent closer, they will be a good team next season. If it wasn't for not having a closer this season, they could have made a long playoff run.

A likely perennial MVP in Bryant for a CY Youngless Sale. Are you kidding? That's beyond unreasonable, that's straight insanity.

I have this feeling Sale is shipped this offseason... The Sox should target Benintendi, but I doubt they could land him... Schwarber and some low level prospects would be fair in my opinion, but as a Cub fan I would never do it... Love talking fanatasy trade scenarios that will never happen... It's my favorite...

Why not? Schwarber is just about the textbook definition of a DH, and Sale is a proven perennial top 10 starter. Cubs would benefit from having Sale a lot more than Schwarbs

I agree 100%... It's the kool aid talking... In a perfect world I would want Schwarber to always be a Cub, but man would he be a star on the south side...

Why dont they let Tyler Flowers play everyday?

Didn't know Cy Young's were the only way to judge a pitcher. Sale is better than any pitcher on the Cubs (and the Tigers).
