There are names I wouldn't take on there and how many of those have become unrestricted free agents recently.

Very few

If i had to guess on a player, i'd assume it's a receiver- probably Ryan Grant or Terrelle Pryor

Agreed... Love Mariota but eh.. and Bradford can't stay healthy nor can Lick .. Smith can't hit open 15 yard button hooks or slants

I guarantee you the same people who say that whoever signs cousins won’t win because historically teams with high paid quarterbacks don’t win the Super Bowl will now question why the redskins did this trafe

Redskins don't have any good depth to trade on O-Line. Guessing TP because he was awful this season and heard he's out the door.

Of course Pryor is out the door, he's an Unrestricted Free Agent.

Sounds like there was a bidding war this morning between Cleveland and Washington for Smith. If the Chiefs got away with a 2nd and Josh Norman I will openly weep at the gates of Arrowhead Stadium.

Well, he only signed in DC for one season last March. It was more or less a prove it deal.

The guy is undeniably gifted as an athlete, but he may just be a great athlete with okay skills.

[QUOTE=HBMC;13202247]Smith is a much better decision maker, much more athletic than Cousins too.

Cousins can make every throw Smith can not Who cares if heís more athletic

Yes he has lasted longer than I thought in the league .. he obviously has the wow factor so maybe he can become a red zone specialist if anything if he isn't trying already

@DevanFink Jimmy Garoppolo was dealt to the 49ers for a second round pick. The Chiefs will be getting a second and “possibly more” from the Redskins for Alex Smith. Whoa.

@AdamSchefter
Trade term update: Washington is sending KC a third-round pick and an unidentified player for QB Alex Smith, per sources.

@mortreport
On the agreement in principle. Alex Smith will average $23.5 million per year in new money on the extension and $70 million in guarantees. Nobody will be able to review that contract for awhile because officially there is no contract.

Alex Smith will average $23.5 million per year in new money on the four-year extension with approximately $70 million in guaranteed money on the agreement between the two sides, per @mortreport. There is no official contract or paperwork so agreement in principle right now.

Gruden loves Grant. Pryor is a UFA... and he was an abomination this year.
