Come playoff time we could see a uptick like last year when his stuff went bonkers. Long term he'll have to rebuild a deep fan base as a Warrior to hold prices throughout the year.

I’m a Durant fan but I have to say this is fricking hilarious.

Personally I thought that while prices exploded last year they were only recovering from the massive post trade declines.

And I agree for another run to happen it will take nothing less than a championship in Golden State.

EDIT: I agree with y’all, he is not a “good” bad guy because that’s just not him. They’ve got Draymond, etc to dyou that. Durant doesn’t need to be tough guy he just needs to let his game do his talking for him. When he gets into that villain role I cringe a bit and they get out of their groove, they lose more, and he gets kicked out.

I forgot to mention that but you are definitely correct. Over saturation of autos. I know these things go in cycles but a million autos for every players, especially stickers, has been one of the primary drivers of the move to Prizm, Chrome, and non auto refractors in general.

I don’t have the stats but I’m pretty sure the break from Jordan signing has already pushed his UNC autos up a good bit....

He's signed for Panini for years. If they don't watch it.....he's going to become another Rodman or Bernard King....decorated HOFer....$10 on card auto value. Then only then my master plan will work. I will buy all the Rodman autos I can for peanuts.

Here's the thing about Durant. His rookie cards are ridiculously undervalued. Like, absurdly undervalued. He will go down as one of the best players of all time, and you are seeing it right now with Steph out - he just straight dominates.

His jumping ship to GSW didn't help anything because it is true that people view him as a traitor, and he has really hurt his reputation by being a cry baby, acting like a child, and really just being unlikeable. (I've said this before, but Kevin, go to counseling. For real).

BUT.

In 10 years no one will care or remember. After he wins 3 or 4 or 5 championships with Golden State no one except for hardcore fans will really think about him being a traitor. He will only be known as one of the top 5 players of all-time with multiple championships.

A Gem Mint chrome rookie for $200 ish right now? Get out of here. He is buy buy buy buy buy right now. Except for his Thunder stuff. And yes, his autos are cheap because of oversaturation for sure, but his rookies are way way way undervalued. Take it to the bank.

This. How many rings did Lebron have before jumping ship for Miami? Would he have won another if he stayed in Miami instead of conveniently "coming home" to a younger, better roster? The answer to the first question is 0 and the answer to the second is "probably not". If KD continues to play at the level he is playing currently for another 3-4 years and the Warriors peel off more championships then (as Napoleon or someone like him said): history books are written by the winners. His regular Panini autos are worthless because of the endless supply. His key RC's and key Autos will go up.
