Mind listing your top 25 players in the game?

Yeah. I don't have a list or anything but he'd be anywhere in the 20-25 range for me.

Are we talking about Bobby Abreu now?

I don't know how he doesn't have 25 players better than Abreu, so I can't wait for this list.

In no particular order:

Trout
Harper
Altuve
Bryant
Springer
Stanton
Arenado
Votto
Jose Ramirez
Goldschmidt
Donaldson
Judge
Betts
Lindor
J.D. Martinez
Bellinger
Machado
Turner
Freeman
Rizzo
Gary Sanchez
Murphy

There's 22 names listed. So Abreu would be #23 for me. In terms of just hitters.

Blackmon, Arenado, Correa, Ozuna, Cruz, Edwin, Cano, Freddie, Posey? We also switched from top 25 overall to top 25 hitters

I listed Arenado and Freeman. And yeah, I'd take Correa over Abreu too. But I feel as if Blackmon is a product of Coors and I'd take Abreu over the others you mentioned, which would put him right at #25.

I missed those two. And fair enough, but I really don't think Abreu is top 25. There's others that I could have listed too

Jose Abreu is a very solid player

An asset to any team

Will hit .290-310 with 25-32 HRS and 95-105 RBI for about ten years of his career

Can go back and forth on what a star is?
Is an all-star a star?
Is a ROY a star?
Is being the top 2-3 player on your team make you a star?

Is rendon a star?
Is ryna zimmerman?
Is baez?
Is correa?
Is george springer?
Is miguel cabrera still a star?
Is Jim aducci?
Is Justin Turner?

So Abreu is #23 for just position players, yet we were talking overall. So we're agreeing he isn't a top 25 player and you've been arguing just to argue?

Abreu sounds closer to Konerko, who is and always was in the hall of very good for me.

Not sure I would automatically throw Belly, JDM, Dirty Sanchez over Abreu

Heck, Freddie and Jose Abreu not THAT far apart

It's all subjective. At this point the conversation is just going in circles. Abreu will most likely stay with the Sox and not get any recognition just because of the team he plays for, just like it was when Sale was here.

It is what it is.

Oh please, it has nothing to do with the team he's on. Sale got plenty of recognition as a star pitcher, Chicago is a large market. Save the sob story.

I would be happy with Groome and Sam Travis for either Garcia or Abreu

I think Groome/Bradley/Travis is a decent offer, no idea if its better than others. I think a 1B with 2 years left on his deal has a limited trade market in the middle of FA.

Regardless I bet thats not enough for the White Sox

Nobody cares about the White Sox other than White Sox fans.

Abreu would get much more recognition if he played on a bigger market team. Just because the White Sox are in Chicago does not mean they are a big market team.

I don't know why that's so hard to understand.
