Nice Morgan!

I've been lazy about updating my newest acquisitions. Maybe next weekend.

I'm hoping that Panini has the stones to release a women's only card product next year for the Women's World Cup. I know they'll do the stickers. But they just need to do the cards. Innovate and lead on this, Panini. There is a market there for them. Don't water it down with men's soccer either.

The only teams I know that release team sets are Chicago and Orlando. I asked in NJ and KC last year. They looked at me like I had 5 ears sprouting from my forehead. Would love a Thorns set, if only partially for my dart board

Agreed. I've never seen anything from the Thorns outside of over-sized line-up cards. There's usually an auction bouncing around on eBay with the same 3.

The Pride released their cards about a month ago. They are not selling them online though, only at the games. I asked if they would be available for purchase online and they said "to be determined". That was like a month ago and they have not made them available online as of yet. Maybe if more of us ask they might sell them online again?

They did that last year too before they put them online. I reached out to my contact from last year and the email won't go through; so, I don't think he works there any more. haha But I sent something to the Pride to ask as well. I'm not as interested in their team this year because of them trading away Catley.

Glassnickels, any word on a Chicago set?

On a side note, any one else think that Press' decision to go to Europe to play instead of the NWSL is going to take her off the WC roster? Not that Ellis was much of a fan of hers anyway, but that looks like the end of it this time around.

I asked at the last Red Stars game and they told me they'd be out in June some time. Next game is June 16 so hopefully then.

I'm actually surprised Press got the call for these friendlies based on her bolting for Europe and seeming issues with Ellis. Maybe a last chance for her. I'll be interested to see if she gets the call for Tournament of Nations as well. Anyone else planning to go to that? I got tickets for the games in Chicago.

Red Stars game canceled today because the Sky Blue team couldn't get here due to weather. What an embarrassment for a supposedly professional league. It's not like the storms came out of nowhere but god forbid they leave a day earlier and have to pay an extra night of hotel. I will not be surprised if NJ is gone next year. Either moved or just Breakered.

I checked at the last game and still no Stars team sets. Only 2 more home games to go so who knows if they're even making them this year.

Thought this would have gone for more. Her 2011 Significance auto /10 have sold from 1.5 - 2.5k, and this one is just as rare. Haven't seen one of these in years, maybe one or two since release.

i threw a few bids on that one but the condition was bad on that card. rough bottom corners and it looks like the auto sticker has curled up on the bottom right corner. and the lazy seller couldn't be bothered to post the back of the card. no telling what that side looks like.

not worth the trouble.

I hate watching Alex Morgan play. She's a horrid passer of the ball (which is alright as long as she scores goals), but I really feel like she's the most consistent diver in the women's game and that's what I can't stand. The thing I like most about the women's game is the lack of embellishment in general when compared to the men's game. Morgan is ruining that.

Last Red Stars home game of the year and officially no card sets. I'm assuming Orlando never had them either? Very disappointing.

Orlando made them (there are some on eBay); just never sold them via the website this year. I got no response from them either and the contact I had last year had an undeliverable email address. Guess I didn't want a set from either team this year. It's cool.

Panini have released a Panini Instant set again like they did last year. I'll be buying a set for the mens team, so any WNT collectors, let me know if you just need singles. I was really hoping Rose Lavelle would be included so I could add to my Wisconsin Badgers PC, but she was left out.

I'd buy it for only the women's set if you want to split a set. If you'd rather sell the singles that's fine - I'll just buy a whole set myself.
