Default Westbrook might average a Triple Double again this season

With 3 games left he needs 41 rebounds and 22 assists to average a triple double for the year.

Additionally, Carmelo needs to actually shoot above 25% for the rest of the season for the Thunder to make the playoffs.

Wonder, which is more likely?

That's crazy, I didn't realize he was having another statistically monster season.

Those rebounds are gonna be tough to get. That's 14 per game over 3 games.

Remaining games are against Houston, Miami and Memphis. Personally I think he will do it, he really went after the boards in their last game.

I'm sure he knows it and I'm sure he'll try for them.
Hopefully it doesn't affect the team performance in a negative way and they still fight and make the playoffs.
Melo, well, I'd be happy if they stopped playing him entirely - and I think it'd help PG.

Dude nobody is arguing that he should be MVP this year. Go back to your cave.

Either you are selectively blind or you just troll to look for a fight. The guy just above you stated that its crazy hes not in the top 3 for MVP because he has a TD again this season. So which is it? Because its obvious someone is arguing for him to be in the top for MVP. I have this eery feeling you are a PBM who has been hiding for a while now.

Amen.

WB quietly having another monster offensive season. I think he ends up short and they fall to the 7th seed....where they promptly dismiss the warriors from the playoffs.

Prior poster wasn't arguing that he should be MVP, just that it's a crazy year that a guy averages a triple double but won't even be considered for the award.

Glad I could clear that up for you.

And yes, you detective, you, i must be a PBM from pre-2012 who's been in this account now. And you must be Sherlock Holmes.

Clearly I asked him a simple question about criteria and you went ape nuts.

All this clearly can be avoided if you dont attack me on every post I make.

Well I see what you do here. You try to pick apart and belittle people on here and it's obnoxious. Try being constructive and not destructive every once in a while and I won't call you out.

You are just upset that I call out people like you trying force "Sell" everyone on RW. Its obvious you have issues with me because im not an RW fan. Ive seen you express your thoughts on not being a fan of other things. So why the double standard? I dont mind being called out. Its just hypocritical that you attack me for the same things you yourself do.

So lets focus on the issue here. Your friend found it crazy that hes not top 3 MVP with a TD season. I asked what the criteria for an MVP was. ???

RB's numbers are incredible, but taking a team with three All Stars to barely above .500 is a waste of talent. It's probably more on OKC's coaching/management, but it's just empty stats. It was empty stats last year too. What Ben Simmons is doing for Philadelphia (neck and neck for Cleveland for the 3rd seed) is more impressive than what RB is doing for OKC. Philly's record is equivalent to 3rd place in the Western conference as well. What is Russ building in OKC? A contender or an empty stats machine?

Since when is 45-34 "barely above .500"?

I'm not falling for your BS.

You're the biggest troll on here and everyone knows it.

Sure, there are other trolls, but at least part of the time they have constructive things to say. That's not what you are doing and I'm not falling for it.

So now I've stated my point and will not blunt it and waste any more of my energy on you. Maybe you can take the constructive feedback I've given and think about it.

It's 0.570, which is 0.070 above .500. It's just not that impressive, given the talent they have, and that about 8-10 teams are actively tanking. They are two losses away from being out of the playoffs. The Clippers are in 10th place at 42-36 (0.538), so the Thunder's record is 3.2% better than the Clippers. Is being 3.2% better than the lottery-bound Clippers an accomplishment? I just don't see it. Russ is crazy talented, and his numbers are huge, but it doesn't translate to Wins.

I don't think Westbrook should be MVP this year and i'm a huge WB fan and yes this experiment has been a giant failure in my eyes..but some of the blame has to go to PG and Melo as well. When i saw the warriors game I saw WB and Steven Adams doing everything they could to win that game, while PG looked disinterested as can be and he's looked very lethargic since the AS Break..and Melo has regressed so much it's hard to call him an "all star" player anymore. Russ is far from blameless but PG and Melo aren't carrying their weight and some of that has to be put on them along with the poor coaching and the general lack of any kind of system which has plagued OKC for years

Yeah, I watched that OKC-Warriors game too. Russ shot well from three on that day, but for a guy who is a bad three point shooter (.297 this year), he jacks up way too many threes. Being a high volume three point shooter at that percentagejust doesn't make sense. In 2018, we know better than that.

They are 4.5% out of 3rd place in the West. See how easy it is to spin things?

And please stop calling Carmelo 'talented'.

Oh for sure..it's my biggest pet peeve with Russ..that and his reckless decision making at times
