Default Ebay payment question

I got a message from a buyer asking if they could pay via money order. Iíve never had anyone ask that before, so Iím just curious if anyone else has. The buyer has perfect feedback, so I think Iím going to say yes.

eBay would prefer PayPal. When someone asks I always say yes..but they never seem to win the auction. Sometimes I think it might be eBay checking on sellers.

I LOVE Money Orders tho.

Paying via MO is an old school eBay thing. Was popular before Paypal became really popular. Ask them to send a USPS Money Order.

If you accept money orders make sure they clear first, there have been issues with fake money orders, USPS money orders are the best, it will save you time and $$$. I even take personal checks and just wait for them to clear. But eBay pretty much killed most payment methods other than PayPal

I've been using eBay since 98. I was 14 and almost everyday after school my mom would take me by the PO to get a money order, good times, we were so innocent

Yep. Sports Cards is not one of the categories where check/MO is allowed, so technically you may not accept check or money order for a card sale. I don't know how effectively eBay is at enforcing this, but I'm sure you can get an account warning or suspension if you agree to accept a MO and eBay sees it.

Really not much of a hassle. And the bonus to you is no payment fees.

I've always accepted, just state that cards will not ship until payment has been cleared.
