I have a fading Signature card (the one where it's a piece of flat baseball) I'd sell cheap.

Storage question: I have some of my HOF autos in mags others in top loaders. I want them consistent. I know the consensus is not to ship in mags but are they okay for storing your personal PC?

Ultimately all of my HOF autos will be slabbed, partly for security but mostly for uniformity. That said, probably 50% of it still isn't and most of those are in mags. They are heavy and bulky though, I've gone back and forth a dozen times about putting them in one touches until the day they get slabbed. I just think mags look better than one touches. That and I don't feel like transferring over 100's of cards.

To your question, I don't know of any downsides to storing cards in mags. I've yet to have any issue although many people say that they can damage corners. I had an '89 UD Griffey that was in one for 30 years that lived in attics for at least 20 of those. It even moved back and forth across the country three times. I submitted it for grading about two years ago and it gemmed, that tells me all I need to know.

My cards are never left in any kind of light though, that will kill them, regardless of what you have them in, especially autos. PSA claims to have UV protected slabs but my LCS has plenty of PSA autos where the auto is almost gone after sitting in a glass case for a prolonged amount of time. That's why mine are kept in the dark when I'm not looking at them.

I figured some of you might be familiar with examples of Satchel Paige’s signature, does this item I just picked up have any red flags? I’m more into modern autographs so I strayed a little out of my comfort zone with this Paige. It’s being sent to PSA next week but thought I’d check in here since I’ll have to wait a while to find out.

I love seeing this thread, but perhaps keep it going mostly during the offseason?

Here is my McPhail signed board minutes along with potential future HOFer Dan Topping

For my On Card, Company Certified collection, this might be the hardest HOF to get....this was his only set he was in, to my knowledge......and rarely pop up....I suggest people considering the same create a 'saved search'...... this is not IP or TTM.....

I've seen a few but they are way more expensive than the one I went with. I agree yours looks infinitely better but I wasn't willing to spend that much more for an executive. Maybe for a legend player but not for a suit.

For anyone interested, there is actually one on Ebay for sale right now. Seller is asking $130, last one went for $90. I only spent about $20 on mine but that is the difference between IP and pack pulled.

No doubt. I wish I was adding pieces like that myself but have too many irons in the fire at the moment, eventually. Until then, I'll live through those of you that are still adding.
