Verlander, but I'm sure he'll get hosed again.

Houston has the top 3 pitchers in ERA for those who qualify. That is incredible.

Liking Severino, especially if the Yanks come out on top of the American.

Drug test this guy, seriously. You don't suddenly hit max velocity and have a career year at 34.

What is he doing that puts him ahead of Verlander at the moment? As good as he is right now, Verlander has been better by pretty much every measure.

Verlander is the man I may have to go against my initial vote of Sale

Verlander is on pace for the highest WAR since Greinke in 2009.

Never new much about him before playing for the Astro, but he is like the poster child for the stereotypical “good guy” athlete. Very humble and always deflecting praises for his performance to his teammates efforts. I’d lose all faith in humanity if he ever tests positive for anything illegal.

He really is. I just hate to see former Braves do well on other teams.

Last night's Verlander performance was truly incredible.
Not only is he going right after hitters, he is throwing strike after strike without touching the middle of the plate. Outside corner, inside corner, up in the zone, down in the zone. Just amazing. The percentage of strikes is off the charts just like his BB/K ratio.

Went right after Trout, made him and Ohtani look bad. Pop ups, check swings, strikeouts...

I think Trout's lifetime average vs him is like .040. The game was on the line in the 8th inning, runners on 2nd and 3rd, 2 outs, up 2-0.
Open base....but Verlander didn't blink, got him to check swing on the first pitch, weak comebacker - inning over.

.

I voted Verlander. He's been on another level since going to Houston last year.

sale or cole can't truly be trusted to push strong through an ENTIRE season.. maybe one breaks through keeping up this awesome pace

however..... i see a verlander/kluber 1;2 finish...... likely in that order
