I'm sticking to the VIP freebies. There are so many ticketed ones that I need for sets I'm doing that I couldn't narrow it down to just one. Or even a few.

I missed my childhood idol last year. I will not miss Kenny Anderson this year.

I'm getting Metcalf, Kosar, Joe Thomas, Lofton, Thome, Lindor, Kluber, Barker, and Hargrove. I bought an All Access ticket so hopefully that alleviates some of the line wait time issues.

I am still trying to narrow my list down to fit my budget. It’s another solid line-up. I just wish that they had some type of group packages like when they had members of the Nee York Giants , etc.

Can you give some of the names that this will include? I'm almost intrigued to grab the VIP pass if it's semi-worth it.

VIP pass signers are noted in color in the gallery at bottom of that post. You get an assortment of tickets for them but not all if I remember correctly.

There are a few I wanted to pay for, but I can never get over the price gouging that goes on with these.

You're paying more to meet them as well as helping pay for them to be at the show. Secondary market on cards can often be lower than what card companies pay for players to sign -- and the players/agents aren't worried about any of that. Their fee to show and sign is their fee -- take it or leave it -- and that's what show promotors have to decide upon. If their presence is worth it, they pay it.

I know a lot of people don't like paying some of these prices but I see it as an opportunity to get the autograph exactly as i want it.

If I'm getting it for free, it may look sloppy or some other problem may occur. I know I'm paying a premium but they usually make sure to make it look as clean of an auto as possible and I'm there to make sure they sign on the specific place that I want them to sign the piece.

It's the whole concept of you get what you pay for. I know some people could care less but then there's super picky people like me, that set a certain set of criteria (location, ink/sharpie color, etc) for how they want it to look.

Looking for rare late 90's Indians Cards- if price is right.

Also possibly interested in current Indians (Not crazy about current card designs though)

I'm well aware of how these shows and signings work, trust me. The fees specifically at bigger shows like the National are where the price gouging takes place. A lot of these guys, especially the "local legend" types, can be had significantly cheaper all day long at smaller shows or other signings.

I set up at a show a month ago where Super Joe signed for $3, lol.

He and Lenny Barker have been part of a free signing at Huntington Park (the Indians AAA affiliate) every summer for at least the last seven years.

That doesn’t surprise me at all, the $3 from the show I was at went to charity even.
