I thought when we did the math with 3 it didn’t add up and we ended up at 41.something per 40 card box? Two of the 1/1 colors are imperial red and rebel orange. I was going with only rebels got a rebel orange and only imperials got a red. That way the math worked out to 40 cards per box.

everyone will have 3 1/1s. only 100 of the 120 total 1/1s will be inserted, unless around 1:5 boxes have a 2nd 1/1.

So it’s 41 cards per box and 20 cards are being distributed via we have no idea?

I’m fairly certain, as with all releases, that Topps will hold cards back for replacements. This could explain the difference.

If they hold autos back, I sure hope they are the #/40 versions and not any of the 1/1's. It would be nice if Topps put in an extra auto to make 41, that way you get a double of 1 signer, which could add some nice extra value!

I know wishful thinking, but a boy can dream! LOL

They’re have certainly held back 1/1’s in the past. Anyone remember the MW pen relic and printing plate autos they had on display at Celebration Anaheim? I don’t mind them doing this because if I receive a damaged 1/1 I wouldn’t want anything less in return. Now holding back 20 of them, that’s a different story...

I'm not sure what's making it hard for you to comprehend this.

40 cards per box
One autograph from each of the 40 signers per box
Guaranteed one 1/1 per box

There will be 20 additional 1/1s, Topps could include these and some boxes would have two 1/1s, or they might hold them back for replacements, or they might backdoor them. I am not Topps so I have no clue. What I do know is 40 signers, 1 of each per box.

I would expect them to hold back 1/1s so they can replace 1/1s and high dollar cards in the future.

If not, people who got a damaged high dollar card or 1/1 will be complaining that they didnt hold back 1/1s.

Everyone would like for them to pack all the 1/1s out until they gets a damaged one. lol

Wowzers! This is truly for gamblers but I guess the worst you can do is to become owner of the World’s most expensive Matthew Wood Base Auto lol. It would be a little easier decision to jump into these breaks if it wasn’t so darn close to Christmas. Will probably sit on the sidelines and wait for the Ford’s to start rolling in while everyone is paying off post-holiday credit cards haha.

Looks like they are using again the same images they have done in the past.
You'd think they would want to make the cards in this set unique by using new or different images.Geez

So looking at current pricing on most of these signers (assuming /40 versions):
Ford 2-3k
Ridley 1-2k
Driver 750-1k
Hamill 600-700 (not confirmed yet)
Fisher 500-700
Jones 500
Christie 400
Christiansen 300-400
SMG 200-300
McDiarmid 200-300

Daniels 150
Boyega 150
Williams 100
Whittaker 100
Yen 100

Now obviously these will be /40 or better so there's some boost in the above values. So you'd have 10 spots out of 40 which should easily break even or exceed a $250 slot value on the base auto. The rest of the value will depend on parallels, but the way the market has been, I don't see many low level people meeting/exceeding $200. Masterworks 1/1 Gold Frame autos (which look A LOT better and aren't one of three 1/1s ) aren't even breaking $200 for small characters.

But we'll see in a month or so I guess.

40 cards per box would leave 120 cards unaccounted for. 41 cards per box, 1 of which is a 1/1 leaves 20 cards unaccounted for. So regardless of which way you read the sell sheet, that leaves either 20 or 120 cards not in the boxes. So I don’t see why that’s difficult to understand since it doesn’t make sense but I also don’t understand why you’re being a patronizing ass about it either so I’m out of this conversation.

I believe each box gets a 1/1 that doesn't count against the 40 cards you get, so really 41 cards/box.

I think it'll either be 20 boxes have a 2nd 1/1 or 20 of one color won't have a 1/1.

But yeah, I'm talking about lines from the movies or TV shows. I could see people paying premiums for every signer. Heck, adding "It's a trap!" could make Tim Rose cards worth something (even though it wasn't his voice).

I'm not sure where you see this but the release sheet says 40 cards of the 40 different signers. To me, that means you are getting all 40 signers but which version is the question mark.

Yeah, that's what I said. You get all 40 for sure but the 1/1 is a bonus 41st card most likely.

There's is absolutely no question that you will get an auto from all 40 signers per box.

Not "most likely". You are in the extreme minority of people who think there will be 41 cards. Most of us are in the 40 signers = 40 cards camp.

But then the other parallel numbers break. It'd mean topps withheld 120 other autos.

So maybe they hold back 3 base from each signer? Can you imagine a Ford 1/1 being held back?

Maybe, just maybe, they aren’t holding back 3 from each signer but instead they only produce 100 of each and number the base /37 instead of /40. I could easily see them doing this for the more expensive signers. I mean why pay Ford for 103 signs when you only need to guarantee 100?

and he is also leading to people not paying attention, reading his assumption and then being misinformed about the product.

let me help you Varga an others

FORTY HITS. NOT 41, NOT 39. 40. 40 DIFFERENT SIGNERS PER BOX. 40
40
40
40
40
ONE OF THOSE 40 WILL BE A 1/1.
DID I MENTION 40 CARDS PER BOX?

This is what topps said from the beginning. its not that hard to comprehend. No, the math does not add up, but topps HAS to have replacements. There will never be a product EVER where 100% is inserted into packs.

Also someone said I hope Ford has a base auto, as if this has not been said enough in this thread (although some people STILL don't understand this product)

I asked topps if ford will have all parallels like everyone else, JUST to be 1000000% sure

"Every signer is in every box for Star Wars Stellar Signatures, including Ford. There are just 100 boxes made."

There. can we stop with the god dang misinformation and assumptions in this thread now? 40 signers. One of every signer per box. Unless they add additional signers, its going to remain 40 hits per box.

I'm thinking they add up to 40 people ... or at least Cardboardconnection does as well based on their checklist info

Base Autograph Checklist
40 cards.
Serial numbered #/40.
More names to be added.
PARALLEL CARDS: Blue #/25, Green #/20, Purple #/10, Gold #/5, Galactic Black 1/1, Imperial Red 1/1, Rebel Alliance Orange 1/1.
