Question for the people buying retail: Why buy retail? Odds are much worse for autos and different variations, so I'm not sure why so many people buy. Maybe for set builders trying to make a base set?

More affordable, set makers like you said (much easier to make HHN set due to 200 cards and 25 SP's) and also different inserts at Target and Walmart that aren't in Hobby...

Are the so called action variation hobby exclusive? I bought the last blaster case at cost before the price hike so curious what I should be looking for. As expressed already, didn’t feel like paying current hobby prices and read Heritage isn’t about the hits anyways lol Might pull zilch, but at normal $20 per I figured why not. Saves gas too.

This will be my third release this year where I have only gone with retail blasters. The first two were Bowman and base Heritage. For this release I am going with six blaster cases.

It simply comes downs to getting into product for the right price and not paying the premium just because of a hot rookie or two.

It also helps if you have experience moving the product after release. The cards that I am not getting in retail vs hobby are actually the cards that I couldn't sell last year or still stuck with currently.

Yes the odds are longer but I am only into each card at .27 per versus the current hobby price of .58.

Posting stuff early on eBay is just a seller begging to get returns after the general release hits.

I agree and hobby cases should fall down some; despite the amazing checklist
production at double (or close to it)

now heritage high number odds for parallels, variations, chromes, etc are looking to be as tough regular heritage since the set sizes are cut in half

this is the highest production increase of the year and we have had numerous in the 30-40-50% increase ranges, not to mention cost went up

Now thatís interesting. I went back and read product details and I thought color swap was hobby only as well. Maybe the word ďandĒ threw me off.

yep, this is WAY up

it had room to go up but still

I can not stress this biggest surprise enough...
It is now tougher to pull parallels/chrome/sp var/rare hits in High than it is Low

that has NEVER been the case, despite the set being half the size for base/sp/chrome/etc

Cross my fingers, but never had an issue selling early. I thought I may with Series 2 Acuna and Torres since they dropped rapidly, but wasn't the case...

same here, never one return for an early sale
plus, what are you supposed to do...just sit on the cards and wait? if people offer or bid and pay, well, there you go

many early buyers don't seem to care, they just want it, right away

Well, there is the missing piece to give us a clear picture. Retail doubled and Hobby is near double in production from 2017 HHN odds ( and even more when compared to 2016). I will be buying singles when the fire sale begins in a week and look to buy into cases in the offseason.
