English and Arabic for me. I keep telling myself I'm going to learn Russian but then I keep putting it off. May I ask why mandarin, Dutch, or Portugese?

I'm trying to learn Spanish. Summers I work at an airbrush shop and I think some transactions would go much easier if I knew the basic terms we use (shirt sizes, colors, design names). If I wrote out a list of terms would someone be willing to give me the Spanish word and pronunciation? I'd throw in an auto card of your choice for your time.

Well I have always liked the sound/flow of Dutch and Portuguese. For the Mandarin my cousin who I am very close with has a Chinese wife and she does not speak English well. So me and him have been teaching her, but It would also be cool to be taught it as well.

Gotcha, when I lived in Morocco I came across a few folks who spoke Portugese and it's a beautiful language. When I was studying Arabic there was a guy who was simultaneously learning Arabic, Mandarin, and Latin; I always thought he was crazy

Google translate is probably your best bet and you can hear the word spoken too.

I am completely fluent in Spanish and I have been told I have a Colombian accent.

-I can get by with Spanish if people talk slowly. One of my only regrets in life is not staying committed to studying and learning spanish/any other second language.

I know a tiny bit of Klingon and French but not enough to really function, more like ask for the bathroom and/or tell the person i don't speak much of either.

this is one thing i regret not doing fully while i was younger and able to learn things a bit easier. Instead, I focused on Latin to help my science education.

If you learn Mandarin, you can print your own salary information for any company.

Three years of HS Spanish and two years of college ASL.

At this stage in life I can pretty much only order a Corona and give you the finger if I don't get it.

English and German and a little bit of Spanish. I'm a Californian Native and it is essential to know at least a little bit of Spanish here.

Took 3 years of German in High School and 2 years in College. Also helps that my wife was born and raised in Germany and is fluent.

I only speak 'Merica

My wife does speak Spanish though. I wouldn't mind learning that. Would have come in helpful when I was in College in AZ.

I learned by growing up around by Spanish speaking relatives and friends. I probably knew Spanish better then English at one point. Then around when I went to preschool and such, I probably picked up English more.

English and many years ago - French. (HS and college)

Spanish would have been a much smarter choice.

Spanish is second I guess. But I grew up with both English and Spanish.

Also know some Portuguese and a bit of Italian. Currently attempting to learn Dutch
