It's like he hired Ed Wood to film it.

...coffee just shot right out of my nose...

Notice at the 2:26 mark how he doesn't have a guitar pick in his hand,,,impressive,,,amazing,,,This is the first "cover" I have seen on YouTube where the person focuses on their HEAD and not on their instrument...jeeeez!

...after following this thread from the start, I just think he is a guy who simply wants attention and is trying every way possible but in the computer age, it just isn't working...people will spot the lies...Being a huge KISS fan myself, his videos presenting them with his art makes me cringe...yikes! Hopefully Gene doesn't hear about this controversy...he'll probably sue ya! LOL!

Just be honest...be true...and then you will shine!

So, Bob has a book on Amazon. It has one review. 5 stars. Against incredible odds this reviewer just happens to be a completely different person coincidentally named Tattoo Bob.

An armless man could do a more convincing air guitar than that.

I'm shocked that this guy clearly has talent and creativity in more than one area - the transfer technique he uses to fake sketches requires a fair amount of work, as well as creating a stop-motion fake sketch video - that maybe he's in the wrong business?

So, is anything being done about this guy? Has anyone involved in making the OP PDF contacting Topps or any other companies? Apologies if I missed that part of this.

I think you're right. Ted, let me ask you this as well. Do most artists always draw from left to right? It seems that's what he is doing there in the video. Just curious, as I have no artistic ability whatsoever.

No, in the video he's drawing it like a print head. You show me any other artist that draws in that manner and I'll buy them lunch.

Usually artists roughly block out the space, making light marks where the eyes, nose... any features would go. Sometimes I skip that step and go right for it, but never in the manner shown in this video.

Haha you're right he is doing it like a print head! Art school to now, i have never seen anyone ever draw like that. Especially not a "realistic" portrait.

I don't even know what to think anymore. How in the world did he think putting that video out would help his cause? And how is it still up?! Artists don't work that way at all and he knows artists are watching this video... he's just digging a deeper hole for himself.

Well if someone like me realizes it, then true artists like yourselves are certainly going to notice it.

He's a nobody trying desperately to be somebody.

I felt a little sorry for him at first. But then he makes these videos and does a podcast where he is trash talking artists, calling them fakers and haters, and then he posts that last video, thinking it's going to shut everyone up. He once again shot himself in the foot with that one.
I just can't wait to see what he comes up with next.

Crazy video! I watched it in .25 speed and you can clearly see the paper moving and the right side eye appearing out of nowhere while he is working on the left side.

You know what, I think he's manipulating the sliding white piece of paper with his left hand. Thanks to findingtime, I didn't realize before you could watch videos at slower speeds (it's in the settings under the gear at the bottom of the video). Most notably from around the 20 second mark on you can see the bottom of the brown board he's drawing on pop out a few times at the bottom of the reference pic, like there's pressure being put on it from behind. Just as he gets up there is a lot of movement as he removes his arm.

That makes more sense. Your first theory of a spouse or girlfriend hiding underneath had one very obvious flaw.

ROFL check out this video - he shows how to "shade" the Leia - end result looks so much WORSE than the original!

"Getting there..." at the end killed me.

Just posted this on the Topps FB collectible group. My apologies if this had already been discovered.

Alright, I just saw the video .25 speed.
Just when I thought the fakery couldn't be more obvious.
HE IS HOLDING A BRAND NEW UNSHARPENED PENCIL.
It's really easy to spot at the :06 mark.
Set the resolution at 1080p and watch it on the biggest screen you have.
Wow. Just wow.
I'm starting to now wonder if he used the butt end of the pencil itself to push the paper down as he went.
Man, I wonder how many dress rehearsals and takes he went through to get to this point.

It would appear the purpose of the tape is to hide the edges of an opening cut into the board, and the "drawing" is attached to the backside of the board, with a clean white piece of paper sandwiched in between. As he moves the pencil down from top to bottom, the white paper is being pulled down to reveal the Leia image. I've never seen anybody draw like this, top to bottom in a side to side motion, like a printer head. I've watched a lot of speed drawers, and none of them do this. Also, if you zoom in close you can clearly see the straight edge of the paper moving down, revealing parts of the image that he hasn't even touched yet. It's also annoying and very telling that the "copy rites" text seems to have been added specifically to obscure what is going on, and even seems to follow his hand down the surface of the image. I can't wait for his next video, this is entertaining.

Also, look at the tip of his pencil (or whatever he's using to "draw" with).

Spot anything a bit odd???

This appears to be from another of his YouTube channels-

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jCbWUAXRmvs

I'd love to know why he's not more famous if he drew that from scratch in that time.

Another gem-

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QdSzzT1LpJw

I don't think he actually knows how to properly use some of the artist tools he's using...
