Default Avoid serendipitous_777 on eBay.. in 10 years.. this is a new one for me

Just when I thought eBay couldn't get any crazier.. this happened...

So around 3am serendipitous_777 bought this item from me..

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...#ht_555wt_1399

This afternoon that same member offers me $5 on another Puig I have listed for 299.99. Clearly a sarcastic offer, I contact them asking them about it, and ask if they wish to cancel the item right now so I can re list it tonight.

Here's where crazy starts... I get this as a reply:

My sarcastic response came after you offered me $50 on a $799 BIN, so don't talk about sarcasm punk!!! I will pay within a reasonable amount of time. Most likely within the next 7 to 10 days. I have always been allotted a week or two grace period with every buyer. If you have a problem, file a god damn unpaid claim against me. I will then contact e bay and let them know about your sarcastic $50 offer, followed by your arrogant e mail to me. You will receive the money within the next 7 to 10 days which I have every god damn right as an ebay'r to pay!

Now, I have never spoken to, dealt with, or offered on any item this person has ever listed. I haven't even bought a card on eBay in months lol.

It gets crazier here...

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2012-LEAF-VA...7#ht_39wt_1399

You might notice that item looks similar to the first.. why? Because its the item they bought from me at 3am. Just stole my scan, and re listed it. THEY HAVEN'T EVEN PAID! LOL

He sent me a second reply stating this phantom "$50 offer" came from a user name that starts with "mac"... which to him, meant me lol

I contacted eBay and the item should be removed soon... and I will do everything I can do cancel the transaction... but wow. Avoid this one guys lol.

eBay told me they can't force the cancelation because the buyer hasn't done anything yet, they would have to take fraudulant action to cancel the purchase. Just.. wow

It really seems like there are more and more nut jobs on ebay since they took away the sellers ability to neg bad buyers. That opened the door for all kinds of crazy loons IMO.

I just noticed he called my intial message to him "arrogant" so I thought I would post what I wrote to them...

After seeing your sarcastic $5 offer on the other item I have to ask if you plan to process payment on this item. I hate to ask so soon after the BIN.. but I have sold over $1000 worth of Puig Auto's today and would like to cancel this right now if that is what you wish to do. Please get back to me ASAP.

What an A-hole response. Now I see why he was so mad at you. You really should get some sensitivity training.

Should this not be a case of "No Harm. No Foul" IF he is true to his word that he got you confused with another?

Keep the sale, send him the card.

Now if he's a total nutjob I would just refund the $$ and take the negative.

Losing $22 if fees > possibly losing $230 if he sends a decoy back

It looks like he's trying to make a profit on your card, before even paying for it. I'm guessing if he doesn't sell his listing in the "7-10 days", he won't be paying you. What a loser.

You can report him to ebay if his scan shows the same serial number on the card as yours. Stealing scans is against ebay rules. Also, he is selling something that he does not have. Again, another ebay rule violation. Call ebay and tell them about these two issues.

This is just a horrible scenario all around for the seller. It would likely cost you FVF to walk away from this clown if Ebay Customer Service does not help you. The Ebay scams seem to be getting more and more elaborate, and yes, more effective.

Actually unless you click a certain tab in your selling dashboard, isnt ebay or anyone on ebay allowed to use your pics?

I sent him a message and here is his response:

Quote:
Dear serendipitous_777,

Do you have this item in hand? I notice it was sold just a day ago, and I am pretty sure you don't even possess it yet. I am willing to bet the item your trying to sell has not been paid for and your trying to sell to pay and make some money which I hope Ebay catches and kicks you off of here for being a scumbag.

Quote:
Dear 2ndchanceelectronics2012,

I OWN THE ITEM! I AM FORWARDING THIS E-MAIL TO EBAY AND YOU WILL BE REPORTED FOR YOUR ABUSIVE LANGUAGE. HAVE A (NICE) DAY!!!!!! AND SERENDIPPITY DO DA TO YOU SIR....

Talk about an understatement. He probably should not be in public without supervision, yikes.

Tact sir...tact

What I found out is he has paid for the card.
He was sent a message from the buyer demanding payment which started this whole incident around the poor offers that was not even part of the initial purchase.
Imac...coloring the truth day in and out.

I told the person he should visit this forum and screen shot his message progression to defend, at least this, issue . He does seem a bit odd, I won;t deny that, but I think half of the truth, Imacs actual side of the tete-a-tete, was left out, colored and skewed for favoritism.

LOL... even on this I can be attacked apparently. I pretty blatantly said what happened in the OP and posted the exact message. Good to see where your bias is again.

I would be very worried about sending that whack job the card. He could get it and say "Package empty" or "wrong card". I just saw his feedback left for others and this guy makes Terry Schiavo look like Einstein.
