Got the package of goodies including Spectra coming from Courtside Collectibles on Monday (unless USPS screws it up somehow), should also have a National Breaker pack that I may put on instagram to see if I could sell if it doesn't happen to be Reggie Miller.

Bought 2 more cards from Ebay this weekend, another Spectra card that I thought was a good deal, and another nice card that I'm looking forward to getting and seeing in person.

My budget got cut down for the month though and caused me to lose out on a Select FOTL Orange parallel for just more than I was willing to pay, I was crushed.

Got this in today. Been holding out for one at what I think is a fair price. Paid $6.50 dlvd for it. Pretty much right on par with what I've paid for the Leaf and Sumner. Glad to finally have all 3 of the Pacers rookies from this set. I think it's a pretty underrated set personally. On-card autos, /99 with no parallels and a pretty sweet design.

Got this in today. There's another on ebay with another 1/4 of this circular medallion-like Pacers patch. I'd like to get it but the seller is asking way too much.

Got a little something in today. Only paid like $7.25 dlvd for it.

Thinking about maybe going after the rainbow on this one. I know there's a Pink /25 up on eBay right now for like $5

Got my first Aaron Holiday card yesterday. Paid under $5 dlvd and it's /25. Can't wait to pick up some of this dude's cards in the Pacers gear.

Also got a raw copy of this super short printed Brandon Rush rookie auto. Got it for around $5 dlvd as well. Gotta love bad listing titles. Not that I think this would have sold for huge money but the listing didn't mention anything about it being an SSP that's got a rumored print run of 10 or less. I also have a BGS 9.5/10 copy so I've got 2 of the short print run

^^^ NICE! I love that Dream Team II pickup. The Noir auto is obviously kickass as well. I was lucky enough to snag one of those Finest Refractors in a PSA 9 for like $20 a year or so ago. I'm not sure why this one only got a 9. Looks pretty spot on to me and no discoloration.

Nice! Mine was like $9, so I figured why not. The rest of the grades were great except surface, so I could live with that.

I just busted out my Reggie to get a new scan and it seems like it is starting to "hulk" a little. His skin seems more yellowish green than it did last time I scanned it. But I also think the last time I scanned it I used a different scanner. In person, it definitely looks more discolored than I remember.

Left is the old scan, Right is the new scan

Yeah, your right image definitely starting to look like mine. Hey, you got the 9 though! Definitely don't try to cross that over!

You guys have picked up some great stuff recently! I've been slacking on posting stuff here. In the meantime, I'm really happy to see the chemistry with this current squad. Especially when compared to the drama in other cities like Minnesota

I just read that article last night and it got me all excited for the season. Can't believe we're less than a month away from opening night.

I'm home sick today, so I decided to put on a game from my favorite era of Pacers basketball. Man, did I pick a good one

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Ai9595HWv8&t=

A couple of observations after re-watching all 4 quarters and OT:

1. Reggie looked really bad here and this entire series. He knew it himself - he was passing up shots when the team needed scoring late game. I didn't remember the backstory here and they didn't mention it in the telecast, so I looked it up. He had a bone bruise on his ankle in August and ended up getting surgery after this Boston series to try and get things cleaned up.

2. The Pacers PG situation was just sorry. They signed Tim Hardaway (who had already transitioned to TV) in late March and rolled with him, Tinsley, and Jamison Brewer. Hardaway's experience alone made him better than Brewer, and he got HOT this game from 3. Clutch. Good enough to earn him a couple of Panini autos I suppose (I'm not kidding, he was in Flawless and Luxe at one point).

3. The curious case of Ron Mercer. Once this guy came over in the Bulls trade, his career fell off a cliff. He ended up with some decent minutes in this particular game, but check out the scoring dip that directly coincided with his transition to Indy. His career was never the same after that season and a half.

https://www.basketball-reference.com...mercero01.html

4. I love watching Ron Artest guard Paul Pierce.

Ok Pacers fans, I need your help. One thing I REALLY like about the 1997 Metal cards is that they feature prominent locations/landmarks from the home city on the card. IE - Ewing has the Twin Towers in NY, Webber has the Capitol Building (or something like that..this is from memory) in D.C., etc.

What on earth is on the Reggie Miller and Chris Mullin cards?

For the Miller, it looks like the Perry K steam plant that's by Victory Field. I can't really make out the Mullins card. Sorry

Thank you! Seems like a pretty obscure place to put on a card.

^^^ I've been pretty excited about the Pacers signing of O'Quinn since I first heard about it. Dude has a ton of personality and is going to fit in here extremely well.

Got a few things in recently. Been trying to pick up nice stuff from Pacers players that I used to collect now that their prices are all way down from their peaks. And then also picked up a few Anigbogu's. Debating on trying to complete the rainbow of this card for Anigbogu and Edmond Sumner. This is my 3rd copy of the Rush SP Authentic SSP. Rumor is the print run on those is anywhere between 5-10 copies so any time I see one at a reasonable price I'm picking it up.

Nice grab on that Tinsley! I was surprised it didn't go higher. That's a pretty tough card for 2001.

Thanks. I had a snipe set at around $20 if I remember correctly. Ended up getting it for around $16 dlvd. I've got the silver version as well. Not a huge Tinsley fan but definitely a fan of the early patch sets UD did.

Sumner looking really good so far and taking advantage of Tyreke being out to try and get minutes.
