Default My Garbage Pail Kids collection.

Surely you remember these, right?

This is a small portion of my collection. I have every set produced in the U.S. with most variants, including the rare bonus cards. This is just a glance at the stuff I have that's unique or interesting.

This is the final art, rough draft, and pencil sketch of Tailor Tyler, complete with the accompanying final cards.

My Flashback Series 1 sketches, all pulled myself. That was about $700 in packs... Crazy. Includes both right and left tongue variations on the Lynch Old Series 1 "Junkfood John", a Layron DeJarnette OS4 "Teddy Bear", and the cream of the crop, a Jeff Zapata full-colored sketch of OS3 "Ali Gator". I've been offered $1000 for the sketch, as colored sketches are hard to come by in the Flashbacks.

ANS4 Sketches. The two on bottom are by GPK godfather John Pound, the man responsible for 90% of the paintings you recall.

Luis Diaz sketch page. In my opinion, no one since Pound has done GPK better than Luis. Particularly love his original "Shut Up Sherwin" sketch on the peeled-away original card. Favorite piece is the ANS4 "Hollow Wayne" pumpkin on the postcard. Such detail! Check out the woman's reflection in the knife.

Other sketches from GPK artists. The one with the ice skate piercing the brain of the kid encased in ice is my personal concept, as drawn by the aforementioned Mr. Diaz. The Mega Man sketch below it is also his. David Gross, Kevin B., and Strephon Taylor round them out.

Original concept art from Mark Pingitore, GPK's current top artist.

Several proofs, including a killer B&W proof. Random card in that mix is a very rare Japanese Chrono Trigger trading card, my favorite video game ever.

A small assortment of gold-labeled Flashbacks, only 80 produced of each, including the ever-controversial unreleased "Stitched Stella", the B-side to "Interracial Rachel".

Some might consider this the holy grail. The Hebrew cards are nice, but the Bukimi Kun--the Japanese release of GPK--go for $600-1000 a piece, the most expensive item in the GPK library. A private collector found a book of the stickers that had been stuck to blank pages in a Japanese binder, so he cut them out and sold them at extremely discounted prices. They've been examined by experts and approved of as legitimate Bukimi Kun. The stickers themselves are mint, just stuck to paper and thus lost in value. To have but a small handful in my collection, however, is truly a feat.

Just a glimpse of my art, sketches, and rare cards. Hope you've enjoyed or learned something!

Great collection! Thanks for sharing. Any idea if they are releasing a new set this year (other than the magnets)?

Yup, they will be. The art I've seen thus far has left little to be desired, but who knows? I've only seen about 18 of the 50+ new paintings. Here's so hoping!

Also got the DVD for that in my collection. AWFUL movie. They even made a porn parody of GPK (not the movie--thank god), which I own but haven't watched. I'm def no prude, but damn it looks nasty. Definitely the stupidest item in my collection... Well, maybe the movie is, actually.

Excellent! He has officially retired from commercial work. I have a few Pound autos in my collection of artist autographs. He was nice in my seldom correspondence with him. Arguably the most influential pop artist of the 1980s, especially if we remove Lisa Frank from discussion. Thanks for sharing!

Very nice! I opened about 10 cases of FB 3 last year, it got a little birthing after a while - but hitting 2 plates was epic. I plan on doing ANS 8 this year, should be fun.

I bought a retail gravity feed and that was it. The low ratios on sketches and lack of case hits burnt me on the product, so I'm strictly set building (hence the lack of FB2 and FB3 sketches... bought 2 cases of FB2, zero sketches. Inexcusable). If I can get locked in for $200 cases via the GPK Underground, I may take a swing at ANS8's case.

i defenetly loved these when i was a kid . not sure what i did with them , so i was realy happy when the flashbacks came out . i pretty much got back all the cards i remember having when i was a kid. there not the originals but so what .

as far as the new series ? i dont think i will be buying any of it. from what i have seen it looks bad. the artists just dont cut it . gpk has sucked for years now. everyone knows the best art was in the first few series

I had these as well as a kid, and sold them all in the late 80's/Early 90's for like $3-4 a piece to a card collector at a fleamarket= jackpot!

I like the Underground - however I only post when there is a release. It's hard to be on so many forums.

I think I was into my cases for around $205 DLVD. So the 2 plates paid for pretty much my entire break.

That is pretty brutal on FB2 break. I think I pulled 4 in my FB3 break. Odds are just stacked against you.

Do you have any GPK Cheap Toys?

Only a flesh-colored Alice Island. I love tiny toys and I love GPKs, so you'd think it'd be a natural fit... I think the logistics of the hobby has startled me away from it. Sooooo many color variations, etc... It's a lot to learn for an outsider. It's sort of why I don't play Halo or Call of Duty; the learning curve is soooo fast and everybody else knows so much more than I do that it seems futile, haha.

I have a ton of GPK stuff that I need to eventually list. I have partial sets from the original release and I still have unopened wax packs from the 80's. Do you guys know of anywhere besides Ebay to unload a huge lot of GPK stuff?

Yup, they are, though some exist that are not from Topps. Forget which... Italy, maybe. They mix in GPK images with awful potty art that just sucks.

If they are Series 1 or 9, I will buy them from you. Besides that, you can try the GPK Underground forum. That's where all of the experts and big-time collectors dwell. Geepeekay.com also works as a reference site. Good luck and again, please keep me in mind for Series 1 and 9. I can also give you an honest opinion on the value of what you have, if you'd like.

Thanks for the flash back of my childhood zoop! Seeing all of those cards brought me down memory lane! I still wish I had them all today because I have no idea what happened to all of my GPK cards!!

Wow, what cool and unique collection, I never would have imagined that the GPK would have such a dedicated and strong following. Thank you for posting it!

My collection is SO amateur by comparison... I know a friend who has $100,000 in original GPK art. Probably 75 original paintings. My collection is modest since I dabble in a little of each thing.
