So ESPN is a little bit clunky with keepers and won't work 100% smoothly. If any teams elect not to use all 20 keepers (only silverandblack so far), ESPN automatically gives them an extra pick at the beginning of the draft. Per our league rules, that pick should come at the end of the draft

To get around this, we'll have the owner in any instances of this take someone like Derek Jeter until we get to the point where the draft should start. Then after the draft, those owners will get first dibs at players not selected before they go to waivers

This make sense to everyone?

I've sent multiple PMs and emails to HOF and bshea, but both are still missing their keepers from both. If it gets to Thursday and they still haven't not it, I have to make those decisions for them to allow us to draft. Here's what I'm thinking for keepers for both of them. Does this sound fair?

I'm on the fence about Lucroy, Dickerson, and Gallo, but feel the rest of those decisions are logical

Only ones I'm on the fence about here are Arcia and Castro, I feel like the rest are pretty logical

Personally id keep Gausman over Dejong for team one and for team 2 Ohtani is on minors and hasnt broken the IP/AB needed so i know we allowed a exception for him in the draft to be picked and no more international after but I would think he would be minor leagues until met and then keeping a arcia.... but i mean i cant argue your logic either

If it is easier for draft purposes you can put Arrieta back on as my last keeper. I only dropped him cause he was a FA at the time and of course the next day he signs.

Main reason I'd call up Ohtani now is that HOF expressed interest in doing so before (see quoted), I just haven't been able to confirm with him that he knows Moniak would be outright dropped (since we can't demote players to minors)

Leaguemates, thoughts? I personally don't like the idea of adding someone back after they were dropped, even with the unfortunate timing, but if you guys are more sympathetic than me, I'd consider it

Still nothing from HOF or bshea. They both have about 24 hours left to make their selections before I have to step in

Reminder that if there's any guys on your prospect roster you don't want to keep, I need you to post in here telling me which guys by 1 hour before the draft. Rosters will lock at that point

Don't because that's not allowed If someone isn't in the draft lobby and is autodrafting and a prospect is up next, I'm not sure how best to handle that situation. I believe I have the power to draft for them as commish, maybe just give them the next player autodraft would have given them?

It would probably be easier on everyone if we just had a gentlemans rule to not draft prospects. I know I won't be....but it would just make it simple.

Yeah, that should be implied, but that doesn't cover the case if someone can't make it to the draft and has autodrafting picking for them. Not a guarantee that any prospects would be taken by autodraft, but we should figure out what to do if that does happen
