I appreciate the way you are attempting to twist this but I'm not biting. Sorry.

Actually, some of us are simply presenting facts. "Twisting" it would be trying to paint those 32 innings as being valuable, even though the guy got lit up in those innings.

You are trying to twist this. I am not dumb. Good try.

Blake Snell's resume is pretty straightforward. You have to do all kinds of twisting to make a case for Justin Verlander.
Any comments on that month of August? |

It's hard to argue with LMAOOOOOOOOO. That won every AOL chat argument I ever saw.

I don't find it useful to argue seriously with those who believe in pitcher wins having value to LMAO seems like enough.

Sorry, I’m not holding up my end. JV has the best k/w ratio in the league and blows Snell out of the water:
JV 7.78 Snell 3.52

When it comes to 20 wins vs. not 20 wins, they have value to the voters. Not as much as 20 years ago, but its still part of the equation.

Keep trying big fella, keep trying.
It's dumb that it has any value to anyone. We as fans of the game need to be smarter than this.

he was not good for a very long stretch and snell has been great the last 4-6 weeks; on top of a very good early part of the season. verlander should get credit for logging the extra innings; but he should also be penalized for not making them count for anything more than strikeouts....... they didn't help his era, they didn't help him get more wins |

it's hard to believe a defending cy young award winner just won 20 games and has zero shot at the award...... definitely a tribute to how good top tier AL pitching has been this year

It’s also possible he could have defied any type regression, i.e. Degrom. It’s just a different way of looking at the innings gap. While JV shouldn’t get the nod for the CY based on those extra innings alone considering they didn’t provide much benefit or resume builder aside from the accumulation of innings and K’s, it should be noted that Snell’s resume very possibly benefited by not having those extra innings.
