ESPn is down for maintenance. Should only be like 2 weeks before it opens up for 2018!

I wish CBS Sports Commissioner leagues weren't so expensive, they have so much more involved customization for Dynasty Leagues like this. They have minors rosters and now you can trade Draft Picks up to three years out as well.

Random musings for the day

Yall, I really want to figure out what to do with prospects so we can set a draft date once ESPN opens again. Here's where we're at:

We were voting on if we should add another prospect roster slot for this season. No's were currently winning 5-4. Tex, Seth, Firerunner, 7jac, and Homerun have voted no, Hollywood, D2R, Gum, SAF have voted yes. We're still missing votes from 88UD, awz, and bam

However, as 88UD pointed out, last year we passed a rule where we would expand prospect rosters by 1 slot until everyone had 10, so we should have been voting on adding 1 slot to begin with

So, what should we do? Go with our original rule (add 1 each year until 10), or continue the vote and go with the majority (or in the case of a tie, go with the original rule)?

I'd really like to get this settled so we can set a draft date and prepare for the season

I doubt that any of the people who voted no would want to go with the original rule.

I would think the same. But if we already had a rule passed, we shouldn't have been voting in the first place. I can see both sides

I buy a ton of cards on COMC, normally the second I buy one I have to have it shipped to me because I'm so impatient.

I let 62 cards build up over the last month or so and just finally gave in! Going to be one heck of a mailday!

I vote yes, and, if there is a tie, then we go with last year's rule change.

Go with original rule -- add 1 prospect spot until we reach 10.

Or not... but that's my vote.

I voted no, but I forgot about the rule so since it was a rule, we should go with it

A while back I started to PC Pirates pitching legend Bob Friend, I just completed his Topps/Bowman card run and have started going back doing the whole run signed (thankfully he doesn't have many cards and he automatic TTM and will sign any amount you send him)

As you guys know I collect lineup cards, so I decided to make custom ones for significant games of his career and get them signed by him to top off my collection.

Here is my first custom, he started the 1956 All-Star game, pitched 3 innings, struck out Ted Williams and Mantle and got the W Look at the NL bench!!!!

I'll take the NL bench over the starters...

Honestly I don’t really care either way on prospects but I’ll vote no to both

I didn't realize it was a rule, but go ahead if we already had a posted rule I prefer not to have decisions reversed.

I just want to start drafting and building.....

Barring any major complaints raised in the next day or so, we'll go with the original rule and expand rosters by 1 until we have 10 slots

Sweet so we can probably start planning a minors draft soon? Is that first or the majors draft?

Majors draft will be first. We'll have to wait until ESPN opens up again before we can draft (to select keepers, see who all is available, and allow some time for draft planning), but we're getting close!

I still need to get down to 25 before the draft -- will do so as soon as league back up.

We'll give a bit of time to get rosters down to the max, keepers taken care of, etc after the league opens up again. But draft time is getting closer!

If they're doing the same schedule as the past 2 years, it should open up on Wednesday

I'm digging ESPN's changes. Ohtani is a SP and DH and can be started in one of those places, not both. They also gave Bumgarner DH eligibility, which is kinda cool even if he'll never be used that way

Looking to trade for some draft picks, mainly 1st and 2nd round in the major league draft. Some players available too
