Default Anyone know ebay user “eagles2009champ” ?

Made an offer and I accepted on a big card on eBay. Haven’t heard a peep since. Looks like he was on the non payers list a few years ago, but feedback looks good. Guess I am just wondering if anyone has dealt with him or he is member here?

Yup, that’s him. I haven’t seen anything negative for 4 years, but what I have seen from back then makes me wonder

Soon to be eagles2018champ

I remember he would always send me message about lowering the price down on a few cards.

Well apparently he isn’t into communicating and doesn’t pay his auctions.

That sucks man. I am seeing this more and more. I suspect market manipulation if its a decent size card. Sure to be used as a comp in a raffle room somewhere.
Adding to my blocked list

edit-

its giving me invalid user id. Did he change it

The thread title is missing a "s". Just want to point that out for anyone trying to block.

Sounds like Kevin Burge. From the same city, and I googled his other old ebay ids and it came up as him.

I mean he does have 7000 plus transactions. did pay, but doesn't communicate that much. I have this package as registered mail, so will be very hard for anyone to pull any shenanigans on that package since it is under lock and key the whole way. I am sure it will be fine. but of course, I have never sold a card this expensive so I will be stressing until it arrives.

He's having it sent to PostNet which is a UPS store type of place with rental mailboxes. I live 10 minutes from there, hopefully the fact a store employee will have to sign for it will help you out if he tries to pull anything

Hopefully it works out okay, OP

How long will it be before we see it back up on ebay in a PSA 10 or BGS 9.5 case?

I think he means the buyer is trying to resell the card so he's probably in the clear.

Nope, I have the card back and put up for sale. Apparently he saw the comments on here, which I thought mine were pretty tasteful, and refused the card. so I had to intercept it, it sat in the mail for like 2 weeks. long ordeal. Ebay was very receptive and I appreciate it. Paypal on the other hand, I can imagine what they would have said.

I was not aware of Kevin Burge so I did a quick search. I did find it amusing that his middle name is "Mark"

Looks like it is the same guy.

so my advice, before accepting any offers on high value cards, do a little search for the ebay user name and save yourself the hassle. I would rather sell for less money to someone who actually wants the card and is less likely to pull any shenanigans.

Oh, I've already been doing this.

LOL... I google their name, street address... find their social media, their age, where they work, a satellite image of their house... whatever it takes to where I feel comfortable dealing with them. Of course, I first run a Blowout forum search of their name & ebay account name to see if they've been caught pulling something in the past.

I guess it's borderline creepy, but when you hear stories about sellers being scammed out of the money AND the card... you can't be too careful.
