Haha, yep. The power of the attention whoring SJW strategy. Fixes everything.

1945: NFL commissioner Elmer Layden said, "The playing of the national anthem should be as much a part of every game as the kickoff. We must not drop it simply because the war is over. We should never forget what it stands for."

Documentary on the Cowboys coming out on Amazon Prime. Details some of the events before the Cardinals game where they all knelt before the anthem. Pretty much coaches wanted to focus on football but the entitled players felt a need. Probably will watch this.

The problem when Garrett says this... “Nobody is interested in disrespecting the flag, the national anthem, the country, any of that stuff."

Is he is 100% wrong. That's exactly what Kaepernick and the kneelers are interested in.

Quote:
“What happened to blocking out the [expletive] noise?” Pollack said. “Who gives a [expletive] what the President says? Let’s get our focus on what we’re trying to do. All this is doing is distracting us from what we’re trying to [expletive] accomplish. And we’re just prolonging it and making it worse by making a mountain out of a molehill.”

Added wide receivers coach Derek Dooley: “There’s not one person in the NFL that said none of that belongs in the three-hour window. Not one person has come out and said, ‘Those three hours? Let’s play football and then every hour after that use your platform, fight for change, do whatever you want. But those three hours, let’s preserve what football has been, which is the ultimate melting pot where you earn respect for who you are, what kind of teammate you are and how you play.’”

Garrett responded by saying he has always stood on the sidelines with his hand over his heart during the national anthem and that it was a subject he wished he didn’t have to address.

“What do you think I want to do? You think I want to spend one ounce of breath on this? I don’t,” Garrett said. “Nobody is interested in disrespecting the flag, the national anthem, the country, any of that stuff. But if our players are walking around and they’re spending all their time, energy and emotion on this issue, I think it’s best to confront it and somehow, someway get it addressed. There’s no easy solution. I wish there was one.

“That was the only objective of this conversation as we go forward because we do have to come up with a solution that works for everybody.”

Michael Bennett, lying race baiter, old lady beater, and just an all around terrible human being... also one of the faces of the anti-American, anti-Anthem movement, which should surprise no one, had more information come out today on just how big of a child he really is. This is why the leaders in the NFL should take control. Many NFL players are immature and you need strong leadership to set the right example. Otherwise you get what you have now. A complete mess.

Brock Huard talking about Michael Bennett reading books in meetings while Pete Carroll was talking to the team. Brock is 100% correct comparing Bennett to a child throwing a tantrum.

Quote:
“Your job as a veteran, especially when you get paid $7-10 million a year, is to sell that to the younger guys … He was in there trying to be openly insubordinate and it’s a horrible message to the younger guys,” Dave said. “To me it comes off as horribly ungrateful to a coach who did a lot for you and gave you a chance to win the Superbowl.”

Brock, on the other hand, said that the root of the problem lay with the team’s leader.

“That kind of open disobedience, I kind of turn it fairly quickly to Pete and wonder, ‘How does that happen in your locker room?'” Brock said.

Brock compared the action to a child throwing a tantrum in the aisle of a grocery store, saying that the fault lies with the parent rather than the child.

“In that moment, your snap judgment is on what – is it on the parent or on the brat?” Brock asked.

Dave called the metaphor a “corrupt comparison.”

“He’s a grown man – you make $10 million a year and you can’t do your job?” Dave said. “He’s not a child. Michael Bennett — it’s 1,000 percent on him.”

Brock, however, stuck with the analogy.

“Parenting and coaching I think do have some similarities … you think you’ve got your perfect way figured out and your kid is never gonna have a tantrum,” Brock countered. “But there’s no perfect playbook to handle all of those moves.”

Colin Kaepernick: NFL quarterback receives Amnesty award for race protests

https://www.bbc.com/sport/american-football/43853097

This will be written in history books in time. Only to look back at how much resistance there was to fix the wrong in our systems.

Looks like the XFL gonna do it right. Hope it destroys the NFL for good! Then the NFL can stop playing football and just focus on SJW activism and compete for who can whine the most and do the least.

Quote:
An upstart football league called the XFL will require players to stand for the national anthem during games when it returns in January 2020.

The sports venture, led and funded entirely by WWE founder and chairman Vince McMahon, will prevent the players from kneeling during "The Star-Spangled Banner" and stop them from making any kind of personal statement while the anthem is being played.

McMahon announced Thursday that he will resurrect his football project that originally aired on NBC for only one season in 2001.

"People don't want social and political issues coming into play when they are trying to be entertained," McMahon told ESPN in an interview. "We want someone who wants to take a knee to do their version of that on their personal time."

Kneeling protests against the anthem swept the NFL last year as players sought to bring attention to social justice issues. The protests prompted a fiery rebuke from President Trump, who suggested that players who disrespect the anthem or flag should be fired.
