Default PS4 Pro

Has anyone been looking into this at all? I remember a few months ago when there were rumors of a PS4+ (don't forget what they were calling it then), but today found out that it did release just recently and is called PS4 Pro. From what I've seen, it's a definite upgrade over the PS4, but same generation and doesn't make a lot of sense to up from a PS4 to a PS4 Pro. Reading that if you are still on a PS3 (like I am) and looking to upgrade (like I may be), PS4 Pro is the way to go

No deals on these for Black Friday, so no real rush. I'm wondering though if we'll start to see any deals or bundles as we get closer to Christmas time. I'm holding off on this for now, but definitely keeping an eye on it. I've been looking at upgrading from my PS3 for awhile now, but haven't done so, mainly due to costs. Really not looking forward to having to spend a couple hundred for a new console, a few more hundred for new games since they aren't backwards compatible, as well as paying for online PSN services. But, an upgrade is inevitable, just a matter of when

Feel free to get a discussion going about PS4 Pro. I'm definitely going to be keeping an eye on the prices and reviews, and at this time I'm thinking I'll end up getting one eventually as well

If I have money I would buy the PS4 Pro.

Still have the PS3 and haven't touched the PS4 yet.

We should see various bundles around Christmas time. Will come with games and extra controller, those sort of things.

If you don't have a 4k TV I see no reason to own one of these. Also these do NOT support Blue Ray while the XBoxOne S does. So to sum up if you do NOT own a playstation I'd recommend getting the pro (if you have a 4k tv) if you already own a PS4 I would not recommend upgrading.

That is is true, I remember reading out it.
I guess just the regular PS4 will do fine for us that are still in the 1080P TV stage.

PS4 Pro is for those that have a 4K TV.

Or the PlayStation 4 Slim 500GB Console.
I like slim things that don't take up space.

You guys think it makes sense for me to upgrade to a Pro from my PS3 even if I don't have a 4k TV?

From what I hear, it isn't worth it without a 4k TV.

I needed a new TV and wanted to upgrade from PS3, so I just ordered the Pro and a 4K TV for around $715 from Walmart (after tax + protection plans).

Well I don't currently have a 4k TV, but I want to upgrade from my PS3 eventually anyways. Wouldn't it make sense to go to the Pro instead of the 4 even without a 4k TV? That way I'm not limiting myself at all if I do get a 4k TV somewhere down the road or with anything else that may be announced in the future

I suppose so. I guess it depends if you're okay with paying the extra $150.

I'd like to keep the 4k option open, if nothing else. Might come down to if there are any good bundles that I could find or not

I don't have a 4K TV and don't plan on getting one any time soon as the TV I have now is perfectly fine. With that said, I went to Gamestop and got the PS4 Slim with Uncharted 4 and The Last Of Us bundle this morning. So far, so good.

Even if you don't have a 4K tv now, I'd say if you can, get the Pro. Eventually, they will start to make games that will work better in the Pro. The VR already works much better on the Pro from what I've read. Why buy technology based on your current situation? I have a PS4 and am thinking of upgrading anyways since I want Resident Evil VII.

You can youtube PS4 Pro and get an in depth review on the product. Personally, if you have a PS4 already, don't see a need for it; however, if you do not own a PS4 and are interested in one, the PS4 Pro is the way to go

It doesn't play 4K blu-ray... it plays HD blu-rays...

I'm getting one of these today because my XBox One S sucks at streaming....love it for the UHD Bluray, but PS4 is a much better streaming machine.

LMK how you like it. My Ps4 Hard drive is full had to delete games to install FFXV

But not really looking to buy a new system yet. I can probably manage this one until Mid summer or even December. Only 1 game coming up I know I want in January everything else is Possible for 2017...

I upgraded to the Pro.

I like the 1TB vs 500GB of storage, and the 4K option along with 60FPS.

So far so good.

I love New games and technology, but that fact that you can only have like 8 games worth on these system is HORRIBLE IMO

Also I definitely understand the complaints with not being able to download many games. Hasn't been much of an issue for me though as I prefer having the disc. Downloaded Infamous back when PSN got hacked and they offered a bunch of free stuff, but that's about it other than some demos/skins/etc. So storage space hasn't been much of an issue for me

Agreed. I was always having to delete something to install a new game. I try my best to trade something in when I get something new, but sometimes it still pushed 500GB.

Now I have 1TB, no more issues.
